Dragnet SFR
Dragnet SFR is an easy-to-use, fast-acting termiticide and insecticide that treats a variety of insects in and around homes and commercial buildings. This emulsifiable concentrate dilutes with water and creates a residual effect against yellow jackets, fleas, and termites for up to two weeks.
10/11/25
Dragnet SFR, manufactured by FMC Technologies, is a professional termiticide and insecticide used to control and prevent termites, yellow jackets, fleas, and other insects from invading structures.
This product contains 36.8% permethrin as its active ingredient, which provides a long residual effect due to permethrin not evaporating easily when applied to surfaces. This will create a diluted emulsion, and Dragnet SFR can also be added to a foam application. Either application method will act as a repellent and prevent insects like termites from entering the treatment area. Once the targeted insects contact this product, it will immediately kill them.
Dragnet SFR is used for exterior and interior applications. It can be mixed as a trenching, drenching, spray application, or foaming agent to eliminate targeted insects within your walls, slabs, foundations, porches, crawlspaces, voids, crack and crevices, posts, poles, and other wooden constructions (signs, fences).
Tools Needed
You will need a handheld pump sprayer, hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, or a professional skid rig.
When treating subterranean termites, trenching tools such as sub-slab injection equipment (to apply product under concrete), a type of drill, shovel, and wheelbarrow are needed. Rodding equipment may be used if you are not drilling.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Dragnet SFR to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment areas' length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For general and perimeter applications, you must create a 0.50% emulsion by mixing 1.25 oz. of Dragnet SFR per 94.75, typically treating 1,000 sq. ft. For trench treatments, use 4 gallons of product solution (6.67 fl. oz. per gallon of water) per 10 linear feet of trench, both to the bottom and over the soil on top of services. Refer to the label for specific target pest and application method rates, as these may vary.
- Step 2: For general spray applications made with your selected pump sprayer, begin by filling the spray tank halfway with water. Then, add the measured amount of Dragnet SFR and fill the rest of the way with the remaining water. Close the sprayer lid and agitate until the solution is well mixed.
- Step 3: For exterior or perimeter application, apply the Dragnet SFR spray mixture to treatment areas as a low, coarse-pressure spray. Spray the solution mixture up to 6 to 10 feet wide around the structure of the building. Dig a trench around the structure's perimeter 6 inches wide and 6 inches deep for termite trench treatments. Hang on to the displaced dirt, which will be used to backfill the trench after application. Creating a dam with the soil within your trench every 10 feet to section off each 10-foot stretch is helpful since you will be applying 4 gallons of solution per 10 linear feet. Mix Dragnet SFR solutions thoroughly into the soil. Once the Dragnet SFR solution has been absorbed into the soil, you can fill the trench with the displaced dirt. Fill the holes with a plug if the foundation or slab has been drilled.
Where to Use
Use Dragnet SFR before or after construction to eliminate termites. However, Dragnet SFR can be used inside and outside residential, institutional, public, commercial, and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, and athletic fields. It may only be used inside a building like a home or an office in areas with termite activity, such as a hollow block foundation, void, crawlspaces, cracks, and crevices away, and carpet from electrical areas.
This product may be used for outside application areas under slabs, trees, posts, poles, and other constructions (signs, fences, and landscape ornamentation). Outside surfaces of buildings including, but not limited to exterior surfaces, exterior siding, foundations, porches, window frames, eaves, patios, garages, refuse dumps, lawns, shrubs, ornamental plants and trees, lawn areas adjacent or around private homes, duplexes, townhouses, condominiums, house trailers, apartment complexes, carports, garages, fence lines, storage sheds, barns, other residential structures, commercial, industrial and institutional buildings, soil, trunks of woody ornamentals and other areas where pests congregate or have been seen.
Permitted areas of use include but are not limited to, industrial buildings, houses, apartment buildings, laboratories, buses, greenhouses, and the non-food/feed areas of stores, warehouses, vessels, railcars, trucks, trailers, aircraft (Do not use in aircraft cabins), schools, nursing homes, hospitals (non-patient areas), restaurants, hotels, and food manufacturing, processing, and servicing establishments.
Dragnet SFR is not to be used in areas where food or feed is stored. It may be used in non-food/feed areas: garbage rooms, lavatories, floor drains (to sewers), entries and vestibules, offices, locker rooms, machine rooms, garages, mop closets, and storage (after canning or bottling). When limited to a surface band, applications around pest entry points into buildings cannot exceed one inch in width.
When to Use
This product should be used as a preventative treatment before termites or other insects appear but may also be used when insect infestations, such as termites, are present. For outside application, apply this product on a calm, dry day when rainfall is not predicted for at least 24 hours to ensure that rain or wind does not blow or wash off the product in the treatment area.
Safety Information
Dragnet SFR is safe to use around children or pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying this product.
Wait at least 48 hours or until the treatment area is dry and well-ventilated before allowing children and pets into it.
Special Considerations
When treating the structure's foundation, you must use a power drill to drill holes underneath the slab to reach termites in the soil. When spraying the foundation of the building structure, you will apply no higher than 3 feet.

Keith's Pro Tips | "As spring begins, occasionally check your home's foundation for signs of termites. They will leave tubes of mud alongside the structure of the building and uneven or bubbling paint on the exterior surface. Termites need moisture to survive, so sealing gaps around your water and gas lines will help to eliminate their entry points into your house." |
