Doxem IG Granular Insecticide Bait
11/04/25
Doxem IG Granular Insecticide Bait is manufactured by Control Solutions Inc and is a specially formulated ready-to-use a wide variety of designed to kill common insect pests such as crickets, cockroaches and ants. Doxem IG's formula aims to reduce the chances of insecticide resistance and targets insect growth and development, effectively and quickly getting rid of infestations.
Doxem IG features a combination of two active ingredients, indoxacarb and novaluron, in a palatable bait granule that pests will readily eat and take back to their nests. Indoxacarb targets pest adults, affecting nerve cells which lead to paralysis of bodily functions and eventual death. Novaluron is an insect growth regulator that disrupts the growth the development of immature pests via interfering with chitin production.
Doxem IG starts killing within 24 hours and can be applied both indoors and outdoors but is mostly meant for turf applications in yards and landscapes. It is easy-to-use, weather resistant for up to two weeks and requires no PPE during application.
Tools Needed
To use Doxem IG Granular Bait, you can either just shake or sprinkle the contents out of the box or use a hand spreader for a more even broadcast application.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Doxem IG Granular Insecticide Bait you will need by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure (in feet) and multiply the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). For broadcast applications, Doxem IG Granular Insecticide Bait is applied at a rate of 50 to 200 lbs per acre or 1.15 to 4.6 lbs. per 1,000 square feet. So for example, if you calculated a treatment area of 5,000 square feet, you would need approximately 5.75 to 23 lbs. of Doxem IG to evenly cover the entire site.
- Step 2: Using a spreader, load the appropriate amount of Doxem IG into the spreader or you could lightly shake a small amount from the Doxem IG container if you are only treating a small area.
- Step 3: Calibrate and adjust equipment prior to application to ensure that the proper rate of product is uniformly applied over the treatment area. Ideally, you should apply in grid-like fashion, broadcasting half your granules in parallel lines once across the area and then broadcast the other half at a perpendicular angle to cover the area entirely. For perimeter applications, apply in a band up to 10 feet wide around and adjacent to the structure. For indoor applications, such as in crawl spaces, basements and attics, apply Doxem IG along the edges in a 6 to 12 inch wide band or inside bait stations. Re-apply bait granules after 7 days or as needed when monitoring the area.
Where to Use
Doxem IG Granular Insecticide Bait can be used to control listed crawling nuisance or occasional invader insect pests indoors including, but not limited to, crawl spaces, attics, basements of buildings or structures. It is also for use outdoors to kill American cockroaches. For turfgrass applications, Doxem IG is intended only for use on turfgrass intended for aesthetic purposes or climate modification to control crickets, including mole crickets, on lawns in residential, commercial, public and institutional landscaped areas, grounds, golf courses, parks, recreational areas, and sports and/or athletic fields.
When to Use
Apply Doxem IG as a perimeter treatment, broadcast treatment, or a spot treatment to address turf insects, cockroaches, ants and crickets that may be infesting your yard or your indoor areas. Doxem IG should be applied in the spring to control adult mole crickets before they lay eggs and in the late summer and fall to control large nymphs and newly emerged adults. For best results, apply in the late afternoon to areas of turf grass that are infested with mole crickets.
Safety Information
Doxem IG Granular Insecticide Bait is safe to use when applied according to the label. While it is not required, we recommend wearing PPE when applying the bait. When using in indoor areas, use a bait station and place in areas of basements that are accessible to insect pests but not accessible to children and pets.
Special Considerations
Doxem IG Granular Insecticide Bait can be used indoors but it is best to use with a bait station when doing so. The rate will depend on the bait station design and size. Use commercially available bait stations designed for bait granule formulation insecticides. The number of bait stations placed in the attic space will depend on the level of the infestation.
