Demon WP Insecticide
Demon WP Insecticide
Demon WP Insecticide is a broad-spectrum insect killer that comes in pre-measured water-soluble packets. It provides fast control over various species of insects. Demon WP is safe to use indoors in cracks and crevices or outdoors on surface areas.
Demon WP Insecticide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a broad-spectrum insecticide that provides a fast kill and long-lasting residual barrier.
It is a wettable powder made with the powerful active ingredient cypermethrin and comes in packets that dissolve in water. The pre-measured Demon WP Insecticide packets make the mixing process quick and easy without mess.
Demon WP is safe indoors and outdoors for controlling spiders, ants, aphids, chinch bugs, mosquitoes, and more. It is an excellent product for making cracks and crevice applications indoors or broadcasting applications outdoors for up to 60 days of control.
Tools Needed
A backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or spray rig is required to apply Demon WP Insecticide. We recommend using a handheld pump sprayer for DIY homeowners to make indoor or outdoor applications.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Demon WP Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage, measure the treatment areas' length and width in feet, and then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Demon WP comes in pre-measured packets that can cover 1,000 sq. ft. when mixed with a gallon of water. So, for example, if you have measured a 3,000 sq. ft. area, you will need 3 packets of Demon WP mixed with at least 3 gallons of water.
- Step 2: Before mixing, ensure your gloves are dry, as any moisture that comes into contact with the packets may cause them to dissolve prematurely. In your sprayer, fill the tank with halfway with water. Open the foil packet, take the appropriate amount of water-soluble packets, and drop it in the tank. Let the packets dissolve, and then shake the spray tank. Then add the other half gallon of water and shake the spray tank until thoroughly mixed. Shake the spray tank periodically when making applications to prevent clogging.
- Step 3: Apply a coarse, low-pressure spray to areas where treatment is needed. Use a fan spray when spraying surfaces and vegetation and a pin stream setting when treating cracks and crevices. Reapply every 30 to 60 days, depending on the targeted insect and the severity of the infestation.
Where to Use
Demon WP Insecticide is great for residential, commercial, or industrial areas. When used as a crack and crevice treatment, it should be applied around baseboards, behind cabinets, under appliances, and at the corners of walls. It can also be used as a spot treatment indoors but not as a broadcast application.
For outdoor use, apply Demon WP Insecticide to lawns, ornamental trees, plants, window screens, building perimeters, directly to exterior walls, fire ant mounds, and other areas listed on the label. Do not apply Demon WP Insecticide to golf courses.
When to Use
This product can be used as a preventative treatment and applied to outdoor areas to prevent insects from coming indoors. It can also be used as a spot treatment to kill insects on contact. Depending on the targeted pests or the severity of the infestation, Demon WP Insecticide can be reapplied every 30 to 60 days.
Safety Information
Demon WP Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas until the spray completely dries.

Q:Will this kill fleas, and can you spray on carpet and beds?6/2/24A:These areas cannot be treated with Demon WP. However, this product will control fleas outdoors.

Q:If you use it inside,do you shut the house up after you spray or before?12/21/23A:Not sure what exactly you are asking, but you do not have to open doors/windows before of after indoor application. It is recommended though to open doors after treatment so areas can be better ventilated. Exit area immediately and remain outside the treated area until sprays have dried.

Q:What is the best time of the day to spray outside and will extreme sunshine and heat affect the outcome? Also, can it be applied to carpet inside the home?7/16/23A:i apply early morning before the heat builds up. i also try to avoid days when sprinkler comes on or if rain chances are high for the day. i try to give the demon wp product a couple of hours or a day or two of "dry time" if bugs are around they have adequate time to knock themselves out. :-) i used this product for a number of years and simply love effective its been. finally i never spray or apply any pesticides inside the home 'cos we have pets and grandchildren. the product declaration says its safe but we chose not to use the product indoors.

Q:Can I use if it’s going to rain a little?6/19/23A:I try & avoid times when it's forecast for heavy rain like the next day or so after applying. I usually check the weather & try to hit a space where it's going to be dry for 2-3 days ideally. I don't apply during an actual rain either. That said, if it's dry the day you apply & it has at least 12 to 24 hours to set up before it rains, it should not really decrease the effectiveness. ...If it rains very very heavily after an application, I will usually try to re-apply pretty soon because in my opinion, heavy rains will wash some of it away over time. ...But like just a light or average rain a day or so after applying should not hurt anything. Sometimes where I live, it's hard to get 2 to 3 dry days in a row, so you just do the best you can. If it has about 12 dry hours after applying, it usually is fine in my experience. ...I hope this helps you.

Q:Is this safe for under the kitchen sink and around baseboards?7/30/22A:Yes It is. I usually don't spray indoors out of an overabundance of caution, but some years (Including this year!) we have worse Spider outbreaks than others. So I sprayed indoors in just those locations & around baseboards & in closets etc. ...I have noticed no ill effects from it. I just don't do this every year, or application, if it's not needed, but it's safe. No more Spiders though.

Q:Will demon kill black widows?6/15/22A:Though not directly stated on the product label, Demon WP Insecticide is labeled to kill spiders. For a product that is specifically labeled to control black widow spiders, we recommend Supreme IT Insecticide. https://www.solutionsstores.com/reclaim-it-insecticide

Q:Do animals have to leave the house when applying?4/18/22A:You should really go by the manufacturers instructions and not by someone's comments on the internet. Having mentioned that, I believe the DemonWP is permethrin based and permethrin is toxic to cats so I would think you would not want a cat around while it's still wet.

Q:How long do I need to stay out after treatment?12/5/21A:I'm not clear about the question but if you mean do you have to stay outside where you have used the material, you do not have to stay there at all. If you have young children or pets that will be in that area I would suggest completely covering the holes into which you have poured the treatment, and then make sure that they cannot be opened by a child or pet - especially by a dog or cat that might want to dig up the freshly turned earth.
