Demand G Insecticide Granules
Demand G Insecticide Granules
Demand G Insecticide Granules, manufactured by Syngenta, is a granular insecticide designed to control a wide range of insects found in and around the home such as beetles, chinch bugs, ticks, fleas, ants and nearly 30 other pests.
This granular product contains Lambda-Cyhalothrin 0.45%, a powerful insect active ingredient which quickly releases from the granule onto the surface that it was applied on. Demand G Insecticide Granules can be applied to various outdoor areas such as turfs, lawns, and flowerbeds.
Tools Needed
To properly apply Demand G Insecticide Granules, a push spreader or hand spreader is needed. We recommend using the push spreader for broadcast applications and the hand spreader for small localized applications.
How to Use
- Step 1: We suggest cutting the lawn before making applications to ensure the granules seep into the soil. Then, calculate the size of the area that needs treatment. To do this, measure (in feet) the area length and the width and then multiply the two values (length x width = square footage). According to the label, 2 to 4 lbs. of Demand G should be applied per 1,000 sq. ft. depending on the pest you are looking to treat. For example, if you wanted to treat for Ticks and calculated a 2,000 sq. ft., the rate is 2 to 3 lbs so you would need to broadcast 4 to 6 lbs. to cover the application site.
- Step 2: Pour the correct measured amount of Demand G Granules into the spreader and follow the product label to calibrate your spreader at the right setting for your spreader type.
- Step 3: Walk with a steady pace to disperse granules evenly. You will need to do two perpendicular pass-throughs to ensure the granules are uniformly applied.
- Step 4: After making a complete application, water the treated areas to help the granules penetrate the soil for maximum effects. You can reapply periodically for continued control.
Where to Use
Demand G Insecticide Granules can be used outdoors on residential landscaped areas and non-residential landscapes around institutional, public, commercial and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, and athletic fields. Demand G Insecticide is also for use around structures and landscapes on areas of bare soil, mulched areas or vegetation not being grown for food use.
When to Use
Apply Demand G Insecticide Granules when treating for targeted insects on label approved turfs, lawns, or flowerbeds and around the perimeter of foundations. It can be used as a spot treatment when ant mounds area developing. Do not apply during windy weather or 24 hours before heavy rains, as this can cause the granules to drift away while making applications or wash away after applications.
Safety Information
Demand G Insecticide Granules are safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label. Always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when making applications.
Special Considerations
Demand G Insecticide Granules can be applied at different rates depending on the insect that you are targeting. For best results, water grass thoroughly immediately after application. Treat again in late summer or early fall if the population rebounds.

Q:Are these granules made from corn? Our child is contact and airborne allergic so we have to avoid it extensively. We have springtails in a brand new home unfortunately.1/15/20A:Thank you for asking. Unfortunately, we do not have that information available to us. We do have the active ingredients listed as Lambda-Cyhalothrin 0.45%. For additional information, we recommend reaching out to SYNGENTA, the manufacturer of this product.

Q:Will this harm birds?9/14/19A:We recommend watering in the granules so that they dissolve and dissipate into the soil. After watering in the granules we recommend that you keep people and pets off until it is dry. One dry it will be safe for all animals including birds.

Q:We literally have an infestation of springtails in our house. Orkin has been here twice with no positive results and it is getting extremely frustrating. This is the second year we've had them and they are WAY more widespread this year. I see them all through the house and a couple nights ago, before I finally went to bed, I killed over 370 just in our bathroom. They are also thick in our master bedroom - both on the second floor of our home. What is best to do and use?6/22/18A:I would recommend using a liquid concentration that you spray, Demand CS is a great product. You would spray the perimeter up the sides and out for the house 3 feet, and all entry points weep holes, door jams. Make sure to really get the area wet, not just spraying on the top of the mulch or soil, springtails are in the leaf litter not on top. Make sure also that your organic matter around the house is under control and not over the grade of the house. Remove as much excess organic matter and eliminate areas that are staying excessively moist. https://www.solutionsstores.com/demand-cs-insecticide

Q:Mother earth granular vs demand g granular which is better as barrier around home and how to properly use them correctly for better results? Oh and do they work against insect?11/25/16A:Demand G Insecticide would be the better option as a perimeter control method for most insects, the Motherearth is natural, can be use at the same time. 2 to 3 pounds per 1,000 square feet for general pests, with Demand G, in a band around the perimeter of the house. For control of ants, beetles, centipedes, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, firebrats, millipedes, mites, silverfish, sowbugs and other listed pest commonly found around or near foundation of structures as well as in yards. Certain of these pests may enter houses. Applying a continual band of insecticide around a building foundation can greatly reduce the potential for entry by crawling pests. For optimal control, remove debris and leaf litter from next to the foundation, cut back vegetation and branches that touch the foundation, and move or rake back rocks, deep mulch, or other potential pest harborage next to the foundation prior to application. Apply a 5 to 10-foot band of granules next to the structure foundation. Apply at the rate of 2 to 3 lb per 1,000 square feet. Distribute granules _uniformly. For optimal control, water lightly to release the active ingredient from the granules

Q:What can I use to spray for Springtail insects inside the house? I have ordered from you Cyonara RTS and getting Bifen granules locally to use outside. I need to know how to rid ourselves of Springtails?6/26/16A:Spraying for Springtails you can use a product such as Suspend SC on the inside to apply to the cracks and crevices of the area, make sure to spray the outside of the structure and all entry points of the insects to stop them from making it inside.
