Cynoff Insecticide Dust
Cynoff Insecticide Dust
Cynoff Insecticide Dust, manufactured by FMC Technologies, is an insecticidal dust that is designed to be used in voids, cracks and crevices, in crawl spaces, behind walls, or in other hard to reach areas.
This dust product can be used indoors and outdoors to treat a variety of pests, such as ants, bed bugs, cockroaches, spiders, termites, wasps, and many more. This product works by leaving a thin layer of dust on treated areas. When target insects track through the dust, they pick it up and get poisoned.
Cynoff Insecticide Dust is waterproof so it can even be applied in outdoors areas that might see rainfall or moisture.
Tools Needed
Cynoff Insecticide Dust is intended to be applied with a hand or power duster, or a paintbrush.
How to Use
- Step 1: First, determine which pest you are trying to control and the application site. Your application rate will vary depending on these factors, but generally, you will apply 0.32 to 0.5 pounds of Cynoff Insecticide Dust per 1,000 square feet.
- Step 2: Add the required amount of Cynoff Insecticide Dust to your chosen dust applicator.
- Step 3: Apply the dust to labelled areas. Focus on voids, cracks and crevices where insects will frequent or harbor. Puff a light film of dust to these areas avoiding having clumps left behind. Repeat applications should be limited to once per 7 days after the first application.
Where to Use
Cynoff Dust should be applied to hard to reach areas where insects travel or harbor, such as around baseboards, in closets, around sewer and water pipes, doors and windows, behind and under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, stoves, and other equipment, in electrical outlets, around electrical and telephone fittings and equipment, and under drawers and similar areas.
Indoor Use: nonfood areas, garbage rooms, lavatories, floor drains (to sewers), entries and vestibules, offices, locker rooms, machine rooms, boiler rooms, garages, mop closets, and storage (after canning or bottling). You may also treat along and behind baseboards, to window and door frames, corners, pipes, storage locations, attics, crawl spaces, and other areas into which these pests may crawl or enter.
Outdoor Use: Apply outdoor applications as a spot or crack and crevice treatment to building foundations, impervious surfaces (sidewalks, driveways, patios, porches, and structural surfaces (windows, door, eaves)), telecommunication conduits, junction boxes, electrical cable units, manholes, shrubs, ornamentals, roses, petunias, chrysanthemums, geraniums, carnations, and other related flowers.
Void treatments: service ducts, false floors and ceilings, wall voids, attics, and crawl spaces.
Do not use this product on mattresses, pillows, bed linens, or clothes nor directly on food/feed, utensils, or on areas where food/feed is stored. This includes warehouses where raw or cured tobacco is stored and in greenhouses (non-commercial) where crops for food or feed are being stored.
When to Use
Use Cynoff Dust as a preventative or part of a pest control program. Using before the signs of an infestation will ensure that you will maintain control over pests in out of the way and hard to reach areas. This can also be used to treat an infestation by targeting an insect's travel path or harborage.
When using outdoors, apply during a calm, dry day to avoid drift and do not apply when rainfall is predicted 24 hours after treatment.
Safety Information
Cynoff Insecticide Dust is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying and handling this product.
Allow all treated areas to dry thoroughly before use.
Do not treat pets with this product.
