Critter Ridder Animal Repellent
Critter Ridder Animal Repellent
Critter Ridder Animal Repellent, manufactured by Safer Brand, is an animal repellent that uses a powerful, patented blend of ingredients derived from hot peppers (capsaicin) to irritate the nuisance animals when they smell, taste or touch a treated area.
This OMRI organic use product creates an intense burning sensation that will naturally turn animals away without harm. After a few unpleasant visits, animals like raccoons or cats will be unwilling to return to treated areas. This will also help to stop unwanted dogs from repeatedly creating waste in undesired areas for up to 30 days after application.
Critter Ridder Animal Repellent is a USDA approved repellent that can safely be used in organic gardening. This effective yet humane animal repellent comes in a convenient shaker container allowing for simple, yet direct applications on specific areas.
Tools Needed
There are no tools required to use Critter Ridder Animal Repellent as you can conveniently shake the granules out from the container. You can also use a lawn spreader or put some gloves on and spread it by hand.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Critter Ridder Animal Repellent to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Indoors, apply 0.25 lbs. of Critter Ridder Animal Repellent per 15 sq. ft. Outdoors, use 1 lbs. of product per 40 sq. ft.
- Step 2: While wearing gloves, lightly sprinkle the correct amount of Critter Ridder Animal Repellent from the container or application tool on areas to be protected. To treat specific areas, sites such as garbage bags, ornamental plants, trees or shrubs, spot treat ground around area to be protected, or if possible apply granules to ground as a border around entire area to be protected.
- Step 3: Repeat the application every 30 days as needed for continued control.
Where To Use
Critter Ridder Animal Repellent can be applied indoors or outdoors.
Indoors, apply this product in non-living areas only (attics, basements, cellars, storage areas, garages, sheds and barns). Outdoors, it may be applied to lawns, garden paths, and flowerbeds. As a spot treatment, this product may be applied around outdoor garbage bags, ornamental plants, trees or shrubs.
Do not apply to foliage of shrubs or to ornamental, soft-bodied plants. Nor to food or feed crops.
When To Use
Apply Critter Ridder Animal Repellent when you have encountered nuisance animals and pests around your property. This can be particularly common in the fall when critters are looking for warm places to stay or are rummaging around for food.
Safety Information
Critter Ridder Animal Repellent is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Special Considerations
One application of Critter Ridder Animal Repellents will last up to 30 days, but as long as other food sources are available then pests will continue to revisit previously treated areas.
