Cornerstone Plus Post-Emergent Herbicide, manufactured by Winfield United, is a professional post-emergent glyphosate-based herbicide that delivers non-selective weed, brush, and tree control in agricultural crops, residential sites, and non-crop areas.

Unlike contact herbicides, this selective herbicide moves through the plant’s vascular system, ensuring complete eradication of roots, stems, and foliage. However, Cornerstone Plus Post-Emergent Herbicide does not remain in the soil after application, allowing for quick replanting and seeding shortly after use.

Cornerstone Plus Post-Emergent Herbicide is a potent broad-spectrum herbicide that kills all vegetation it contacts, making it ideal for total weed control for industrial site managers, farmers, businessmen, and more.

Tools Needed

This product can be applied with a spray rig, injection spray systems, or aerial application equipment.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Cornerstone Plus Post-Emergent Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). To control annual weeds in corn, apply 2 pints of this product per acre when weeds are less than 6 inches tall, and 2 to 3 pints when weeds are over 6 inches tall. Apply with 10 to 20 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank halfway with clean water. Add the appropriate amount of product. Fill the tank with the remaining water. If using a surfactant, add it last and mix well.
  • Step 3: Direct sprays to only target unwanted vegetation and spray until thoroughly coated. Avoid applications to desired foliage as it will be killed off.

Where to Use

Cornerstone Plus Post-Emergent Herbicide should only be applied to listed unwanted vegetation in sites such as asparagus, cereal and grain crops, corn, cotton, fallow systems, grain sorghum (milo), herbs, spices, miscellaneous crops, oil seed crops, peanuts, pineapples, soybeans, sugarcane, vegetable crops, tree crops, vine crops, shrub crops, berry crops, citrus crops, miscellaneous tree food crops, pome fruit, stone fruit, tree nuts, tropical and subtropical trees and fruit, pasture grasses, forage legumes, rangelands, conservation reserve programs, grass seed, sod production, roundup ready crops, farmsteads, forestry sites, industrial sites, wildlife openings, non-crop areas, plant nurseries, Christmas tree farms, railroads, roadsides, and utility sites.

It may also be used around trees, fences, paths, driveways, around buildings, patios, sidewalks, flower beds, around shrubs and other ornamental plants in parks, recreational and residential areas.

When to Use

Applications should be made when weeds are 6 inches above the desired vegetation.

Safety Information

Cornerstone Plus Post-Emergent Herbicide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Keep people and pets off treated areas until spray solution has dried.

It would be best to refer to the label for specific harvest intervals as each site will vary.

Special Considerations

Do not use for spot weed control in lawns since desirable lawn grass will also be killed.

Surfactants may be used with this product.

Agriculturally approved colorants or marking dyes may be added to this product. Colorants or dyes used in spray solutions of this product may reduce performance, especially at lower rates or dilutions. Use colorants or dyes according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

In cropping systems, hooded sprayers, shielded sprayers, and wipers may be used in row middles (in between rows of crop plants) where any dripping or leaking will not contact crop foliage. Such equipment must be capable of preventing all crop contact with herbicide solutions and operated without leakage of spray mists or dripping onto crop.
