Contrac Pellet Place Pacs Rodent Bait
Contrac Pellet Place Pacs Rodent Bait
Contrac Pellet Place Pacs are made by Bell Laboratories Inc. and are rodenticide bait pellets that come in pre-measured packets and are used to control various types of rats and mice. Each place pac contains pellets formulated with the active ingredient, bromadiolone and is protected with a polygalssine packet to keep moisture out. Contrac Pellet Place Pacs kill targeted rodents within 4 to 5 days, which prevents them from having time to refuse the bait. The bait pacs are small and easy to fit in hard-to-reach places and are also ideal to use in bait stations for outdoor treatments. When combating tough rodent infestations, Contrac Pellet Place Pacs are great to have.
Tools Needed
Contrac Pellet Place Pacs come ready-to-use with no tools necessary but when Contrac Pellet Place pacs are used outdoors, they must be placed in a tamper-proof bait station.
How to Use
- Step 1: When rodent activity and the type of rodent is identified, examine areas of activity to determine areas where Contrac Pellet Place Pacs can be strategically placed for the bait to be consumed. Typical areas are along walls, gnawed openings, corners and secluded areas.
- Step 2: For rats, place 2 to 10 Place Pacs 15 to 30 feet apart in infested areas. For mice, 1 Place Pac should be placed 8 to 12 feet apart. When treating outdoor areas where children, pets, and other wildlife have access, a tamper-proof bait station is needed. Check bait stations every day and replenish areas with fresh bait packets for up to 10 to 15 days or until activity has stopped.
- Step 3: Wearing waterproof gloves, clean up any dead rodents and bait litter left behind.
Where to Use
Contrac Pellet Place Pacs can be used indoors and outdoors where targeted rodent activity is found. Examples include homes and other permanent or temporary residences, food processing facilities, industrial and commercial buildings, trash receptacles, agricultural and public buildings, transport vehicles (ships, trains, aircraft), docks and port or terminal buildings and related structures around and associated with these sites. Fence and perimeter baiting, beyond 100 feet from a structure as defined above, is prohibited. This product must not be applied directly to food or feed crops.
When to Use
Contract Place Pacs can be used any time rat, mice, or meadow vole activity is identified.
Safety Information
Contrac Pellet Place Pacs are safe to use around children and pets when used according to the product label. All Contract Pellet Place Pacs used for outdoor treatments must be placed in a tamper-proof bait station. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying Contract Pellet Place Pacs.
Special Considerations
Each Contrac Pellet Place Pac comes with 1.5 ounces of pellets. Do not open the place pac, the rodent will open it with natural chewing and gnawing.
