Chlorsulfuron 75 WG Herbicide
Chlorsulfuron 75 WG Herbicide
Chlorsulfuron 75 WG by Alligare is a pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide designed to control grassy and broadleaf weeds in various sites. It performs especially well in controlling perennial and annual weeds that repeatedly like to grow on lands.
It works systemically, moving through the plants' roots and foliage to inhibit the growth of problem weeds. The product comes in a wettable granule form and is easy to mix and apply.
Tools Needed
To use Chlorsulfuron 75 WG Herbicide, you will need to mix the product into a sprayer of your choosing such as a backpack sprayer, hand pump sprayer or a professional spray rig for large applications.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Chlorsufuron 75 WG you need by calculating the size of the area you wish to treat. To do this, measure and multiply the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). To get acreage, take the calculated square footage and divide it by 43,560. Typically, this product is mixed at a rate of 1-3 ounces per 100 gallons not to exceed the maximum of 3 ounces per acre. For small spot applications, mix 1 gram of Chlorsulfuron 75 and a surfactant like Alligare 90 (0.33 oz per gallon) in 1 gallon of water.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer of your choice with freshwater 1/4th to 1/3rd of the way full. Begin agitation and then add the appropriate amount of Alligare Chlorsulfuron 75. Fill the tank with remaining water. Agitate the sprayer until the solution is well-mixed then add the necessary amount of spray adjuvants last.
- Step 3: Spray the target weed, making sure to get even coverage via a fan spray setting. Check back after 2 weeks and reapply if necessary to get complete control.
Where to Use
Use Chlorsulfuron 75 WG can be used on pastures, ranges, Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) lands, and non-crop industrial sites (including industrial (unimproved) turf and for growth suppression and seedhead inhibition of established desirable grasses). Some non-crop industrial sites include airports, fence rows, government, and private lands, military installations, petroleum tank farms, pipeline and utility rights-of-way, plant sites, pumping installations, railroads, roadsides, and associated rights-of-way, storage areas, and other non-crop areas where you would like weeds to be controlled.
When to Use
Use Chlorsulfuron 75 WG Herbicide when you notice weed growth. Spraying works best when the soil is moist and weeds are actively growing. To suppress the growth of seedheads time your applications during green-up and before seed-heads emerge.
Safety Information
Chlorsulfuron 75 WG is safe to use when applied according to label directions. Please make sure to wear the proper PPE before application (gloves, goggles, face mask). Keep people and pets away from the area until the product has completely dried.
Special Considerations
Chlorsulfuron 75 WG may affect some plant types. Check the label to make sure your plant can be treated and get confirmation before purchasing.
