Celsius Xtra Herbicide, manufactured by Envu, is a powerful selective, post-emergent herbicide that controls over 100 broadleaf weeds and sedges with excellent warm-seasoned turf safety, helping lawn care professionals and homeowners achieve cleaner results with less risk and better results.

Instead of having to tank-mix different products (and risk mixing errors or turf injury), Celsius Xtra Herbicide puts three powerful active ingredients together in one ready-to-use formulation. That means greater control against common and difficult-to-control weeds such as black medic, dollarweed, dandelion, and more.

Its powerful combination of active ingredients penetrates the weed’s system after application, traveling through the plant to disrupt vital processes both in the foliage and root zone. This systemic action ensures that the entire weed not just the visible top growth is affected, helping prevent regrowth.

Celsius Xtra Herbicide is an excellent broad-spectrum herbicide that combines turf safety with superior weed-killing performance, making it the smart, low-risk choice for professional lawn care and weed management. The combination of performance, convenience, and safety makes this herbicide a reliable choice for high-demand turf environments like residential and commercial lawns, non-crop areas, and golf course roughs.

Tools Needed

It can be applied with a backpack sprayer, hand can, or spray rig.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Celsius Xtra Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Apply 0.17 to  0.23 oz. of Celsius Xtra Herbicide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For spot applications, mix 0.17 to 0.23 oz. of product and add a nonionic surfactant (use 0.36 oz. per gallon or 2 tsp. per gallon) with 1 gallon of water to treat 1,000 sq. ft. Do not apply more than a total of 15 oz. of product per acre (0.34 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft.) per year. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: Fill your sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Add the surfactant to the mixture last. Agitate the solution until well-mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. After application, do not irrigate until the spray has dried. If a second application is needed, allow 6 to 8 weeks to pass from the first treatment. Do not make more than 2 applications per year.

Where to Use

Celsius Xtra Herbicide can be used on warm-seasoned turf in institutional, commercial, industrial, sports, and residential sites, and sod farms.

When to Use

Apply when weeds are actively growing on days when the temperature is below 90 degrees Fahrenheit and when rainfall is not expected for the next 48 hours after application.

Applications to St. Augustinegrass or centipedegrass turf at temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit may cause temporary discoloration and/or growth regulation. Turf will assume normal growth and appearance within approximately 2-4 weeks.

Do not apply this product to St. Augustinegrass if a frost or freeze is expected within 48 hours of application.

Do not use this product on bahiagrass, seashore paspalum, or cool-season turf types, including tall fescue, fine fescue, Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, or creeping bentgrass unless injury is desired.

Safety Information

Celsius Xtra Herbicide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Do not allow livestock to graze on any areas treated with this product.

Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until the spray has dried.

Special Considerations

The use of surfactants when air temperature are above 90 degrees Fahrenheit, coupled with high humidity may cause temporary injury to treated turf.

Do not plant landscape ornamentals or bedding plants in treated areas for at least 30 days after the last application of this product.
