CB-80 Insecticide Aerosol is produced by FMC Corporation. It is formulated with pyrethrins and piperonyl butoxide (PBO) for quick results. CB-80 can be applied as a space spray or spot treatment application to kill flying or crawling insects. It is also a great tool for flushing insects out of cracks and crevices around bed frames, flooring, and cabinets. CB-80 is ideal to use against cockroaches, mosquitoes, bed bugs, and more.
Tools Needed
There are no tools needed to apply CB-80 as it comes ready-to-use with an applicator tip used to reach cracks, crevices and wall voids.
How to Use
- Step 1: The way CB-80 is applied depends on the targeted insect being killed and the type of area where treatment is needed. Determine how much CB-80 you will need to apply by measuring the area to be treated in cubic feet. To do this, measure (in feet) and multiply the area length, width and height (length x width x height = cubic feet). CB-80 can be applied at a rate of approximately 3 seconds per 1,000 cubic feet.
- Step 2: For use as a space spray, begin by preparing the area by closing windows and doors, turning off ceiling fans, AC and heating units, remove food items, cover aquariums, and remove pets. Shake the can well and spray CB-80 is sweeping motion pointing the can to all areas of the room.
- Step 3: Clean up dead insects and destroy the ones that fell and repeat this process as necessary.
Where to Use
CB-80 can be used indoors of homes, restaurants, warehouses, hotels, hospitals, barns, and other areas listed on the label. When used indoors, it can be applied to cracks, crevices, and wall voids around baseboards, plumbing voids, appliances, kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, windows, doors, and more. CB-80 can be used as a space spray or spot treatment application and applied in closets, pantries, and areas where targeted insects are seen.
CB-80 Insecticide Aerosol can be applied to outdoor surface areas where targeted flying and crawling pests are seen, such as wasps or roaches.
When to Use
CB-80 can be used when insects are seen or suspected in indoor areas. It is ideal to use against mosquitoes, wasps, cockroaches, and other insects that fly or hide in cracks and crevices.

CB-80 is safe to use around children, pets and various livestock animals when applied according to the product label. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment when applying CB-80.

While it may be "safe", it's also something to avoid after spraying the room. Let it do its thing - namely kill bugs - then re-enter the room later.

I use it to knock down fruit flies. It does a fine job of it! As well as house flies. Doesn’t work too well on roaches and ants. Flying insects are its jam.

Spray mechanism works well and the solution seems to kill the insects. It dispenses a large amount of spray but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. Have yet to try it on a large, very active nest.

FOR CARPET BEETLES: Spray directly on beetles, baseboards, floors, shelves and carpets. Repeat treatment as necessary. FOR CONFUSED FLOUR BEETLES, SAWTOOTHED GRAIN BEETLES, GRANARY WEEVILS, RICE WEEVILS, RED FLOUR BEETLES, GRAIN MITES: Spray into cracks and crevices, processing and handling equipment, around cartons or containers and other areas where these insects tend to congregate. Spray 30 seconds for each 100 square feet of surface. Keep area closed for 45 minutes to 1 hour after treatment. Repeat application as necessary. Infested stored food products in the home should be disposed of. FOR BEDBUGS: Spray mattresses, particularly around tufts and seams. Take beds apart and spray into all joints. Treat baseboards, moldings and floors. Repeat treatment as necessary. FOR FLEAS: Spray sleeping quarters, bedding, floor and floor covering where pets are kept. Repeat as necessary. For best results, use with a recommended pet spray on pets.
