Catamaran Fungicide, manufactured by Luxembourg- Pamol, is an effective liquid fungicide that delivers season long control and prevention against diseases such as rust or leaf spot.

This high quality product contains a pre-mix of the active ingredients potassium phosphite 38.9% and chlorothalonil 16.7%, which increases the strength of the plants defense system and blocks new growth of fungal cells.

Catamaran Fungicide contains the same high quality amount of potassium as ProPhyt with the exception of protection against fungal diseases. This economical combination fungicide is ideal for foliage or vegetations experiencing early infestations of diseases.

Tools Needed

Catamaran Fungicide will use a handheld pump sprayer or spray rig containing a microjet, center pivot, solid set, hand move, or moving wheel irrigation system that does not contain aluminum components. Do not apply this product through any other type of irrigation system.

If you have questions about calibration or spray equipment to use then you should contact State Extension Service specialists, equipment manufacturers or other experts.

How to Use

Spray Rig

  • Step 1: Determine the type of foliage to be treated and areas of diseases. Depending on the type of vegetation or foliage to be treated the application rate can vary between 4 to 6 pints per gallon of water per acre. For grasses grown for seed, apply between 3 to 5 pints of product per 50 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than 16 pints per acre per season or within 14 days of harvest. For sod farms, mix between 15.5 to 21.5 pints per 50 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than 48 pints per acre per season. If treated, sod farms must be mechanically cut, rolled, and harvested.
  • Step 2: Fill your selected sprayer halfway with water, add the required amount of Catamaran Fungicide, and add the remaining half of water. Close the lid to the sprayer and agitate until solution is well mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray the mixture directly to the labeled plants and vegetation you wish to protect, preferably on a fan-spray setting for optimum coverage. Spray to the point of wet, but not run-off. Do not water treated plants until spray deposit is dry. Make reapplications as needed per the label instructions for the targeted foliage.
