Broad Band Pro
Broad Band Pro
The Broad Band Pro, by Bird-X, is a sonic and ultra-sonic bird repeller that comes with 4 directional speakers with 100 feet of wire for each speaker. Using this product is a completely humane way to reduce health and liability risks associated with bird infestations.
The device comes with 4 speakers that can be positioned to combat bird encroachment in target areas. The eight different sonic sounds can be programmed to play when timed. The ultrasonic sound is always active day or night unless sonic sounds are playing.
The Broad Band Pro, is a crucial component to long-term bird behavior modification when used in conjunction with other bird deterrent devices such as scare products and roost inhibiting devices. The Broad Band Pro, offers 10,000 square feet of coverage to keep pigeons and other birds from entering the area.
Tools Needed
To install the Broad Band Pro, you will need to attach the mount and run the wiring for the device. A drill, screwdriver, and electrical tape may be needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Prior to installation of the Broad Band Pro, it is advised to remove inducements and clean areas of all evidence of birds, nests, fledglings, droppings, dead birds, and residual scent.
- Step 2: Survey the bird's flight patterns, entity points, and nesting and roosting locations. This will help determine placement and speaker direction.
- Step 3: Prior to operation, route the speakers and power cables from the respective jacks on the control panel down through the slotted rubber grommet in the lower half of the enclosed. Be certain that the power is in the off position and the speaker volume is on low.
- Step 4: Use the mounting hardware included to mount the unit control box to a wall, post, or other verticle surfaces.
- Step 5: Plug the power adapter into the electrical outlet. The other end of the cable should already be plugged into the power jack located above POWER JACK on the front panel of the control unit box. A 12 volt dc battery can be used. If this is done, first connect the black battery clip to the negative terminal on the battery then connect the red clip to the positive terminal. Both the connection to the electrical outlet (or battery) and the connection of the power cable inside the control unit must be protected from dripping or splashing water. Do not set an object filled with liquid on the control unit.
- Step 6: Speaker positioning. On the billboard or a sign, you will most likely want to position the speakers in between the double-sided sign or in the back of the single-sided sign. Place two speakers high and two speakers low. Position them in the center facing out or on the sides facing in and across the sign. If you are not sure exactly where you want the speakers we suggest positioning them and holding them with wire ties until you determine where you want them permanently.
- Step 7: Set the switches as desired.
- Step 8: Make sure the volume setting is set to low.
- Step 9: Slide the Sound Frequency switch to the high position. This will immediately turn the unit on.
- Step 10: Adjust the volume to the desired level.
- Step 11: Close the cover and latch shut. Ensure that the cover is properly latched closed and do not open the cover during rain or other conditions that would expose the inside of the control unit to water.
