Bonide Liquid Iron Complex Concentrate
Bonide Liquid Iron Complex Concentrate is an easy-to-use plant supplement that helps to ensure lawns, ornamental trees, and shrub iron deficiencies are quickly corrected.
10/06/25
Bonide Liquid Iron Complex Concentrate, manufactured by Bonide, is a versatile liquid iron plant supplement that provides an efficient way to ensure your plants are lush, vibrant, and free of yellowing leaves caused by iron chlorosis.
Iron plays a vital role in the production of chlorophyll, which is responsible for the green color in leaves and essential for photosynthesis. Without sufficient iron, plants can develop yellow, pale, or stunted foliage. This product delivers a highly soluble form of iron, ensuring quick absorption by plants, whether applied to the soil or sprayed directly on the foliage.
Bonide Liquid Iron Complex Concentrate rapidly corrects yellowing leaves for lawns, ornamental trees, and shrubs, restoring these foliage to its natural, green color as well as encouraging new growth.
Tools Needed
It may be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or hose-end sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Bonide Liquid Iron Complex Concentrate to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For shrubs 1-3 ft. in height use 5-6 oz. of Bonide Liquid Iron Complex Concentrate. For shrubs 3-6 ft. in height apply 10-12 oz. of product. For turf, use 6 oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. Make 3 to 5 applications annually.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add in the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed. For hose-end sprayers, add it in undiluted and spray until mixed with water.
- Step 3: Apply the mixture directly underneath the plants. For trees and large shrubs be sure to apply it around the perimeter of the trunk within the root zone. For foliar spray applications be sure to spray the top and bottom of the leaves to the point of runoff.
Where to Use
Bonide Liquid Iron Complex Concentrate can be used on shrubs, trees, herbaceous plants, and listed turf.
When to Use
This product is most effective when plants are growing rapidly and least effective when dormant or suffering from stress.
