Bifen 7.9 Home & Yard Insecticide Concentrate, manufactured by CSI, is a professional-grade, bifenthrin-based liquid insecticide designed for residential, commercial, and industrial pest control against a wide range of pests.

With 7.9% bifenthrin, this is a commercial-grade concentration made available for homeowners. It offers long-lasting protection (up to 90 days) and delivers quick knockdown against pests like ants, mosquitoes, and cockroaches for fast pest relief. This formula is non-staining, dries clear, and virtually odorless making it a great choice for families and pets once dry. No need to worry about lingering chemical smells or damage to surfaces.

Bifen 7.9 Home & Yard Insecticide Concentrate is a high-performance bug killer that stands out for its broad coverage, residual protection, and trusted results that keep pests away for weeks. It's also incredibly versatile, making it a smart option for treating lawns, landscaping, ornamentals, greenhouses, and even the perimeter of your home.

Tools Needed

A backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, hose-end sprayer, truck-mounted hydraulic sprayer, mist blower, or spray rig can be used.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Bifen 7.9 Home & Yard Insecticide Concentrate to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For general applications, spot treatments, and perimeter applications, apply 0.33 to 1 fl. oz. of Bifen 7.9 Home & Yard Insecticide Concentrate per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. To treat ornamentals and trees, use 0.125 to 1.0 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. or 5.4 to 43.5 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. If a surfactant is added, pour it into the spray tank last. Agitate the solution until it is well-mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of foliage until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For perimeter treatments, apply 2 to 3 feet up the structure and 6 to 10 feet out from the structure on the adjacent ground. A second application may be needed 5 to 7 days after the first to ensure optimal control for pests like mites. Otherwise, reapply every 3 months.

Where to Use

Bifen 7.9 Home & Yard Insecticide Concentrate can be used indoors and outdoors.

It may be used on trees, shrubs, foliage plants, non-bearing fruit and nut trees, and flowers in greenhouses, interiorscapes including hotels, shopping malls, office buildings, etc., and outdoor plantscapes, such as around residential dwellings, parks, institutional buildings, recreational areas, athletic fields, and home lawns.

This product may also be used in feed and food handling establishments, animal confinement facilities, kennels, confined animal feeding operations, livestock premises, and around/under structures.

When to Use

Start your applications early in the season to stop pests before they multiply. For mosquitoes and fleas, it’s best to begin as temperatures consistently reach 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Otherwise, you can use it during active pest infestations.

Avoid outdoor applications when rainfall is expected to occur within the next 24 hours after application.

Safety Information

Bifen 7.9 Home & Yard Insecticide Concentrate is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Keep people and pets out of the treated area until the spray has completely dried.

Special Considerations

It’s important to note: Bifen 7.9 Home & Yard Insecticide Concentrate is NOT the same as Bifen IT Insecticide. While both contain bifenthrin, Bifen 7.9 is tailored specifically for home and yard use, and does not control termites. So, if you're dealing with termites, you'll want a termite-labeled product instead.
