VT-616 Trigger Lock Spring by B&G Equipment Company is specifically sold for use as a replacement part for B&G Versatool Valve. The Trigger lock Spring is part of the Valve trigger assembly located between the trigger lock and the trigger lock screw.

Tools Needed

To use this part, you will need the B&G Versatool Valve and possibly a pair of pliers or a crescent wrench if the parts are tightly secured.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Following the directions that come with your B&G Versatool on replacing parts, take apart the valve body and the valve trigger. Undo the trigger until to get to the Trigger lock and Trigger Lock Spring.
  • Step 2: After removing the old trigger lock spring, place the new Trigger Lock Spring in its place, securing it between the trigger lock and trigger lock screw.
  • Step 3: Put your Versatool Valve back together and test the tool out. If it is now spraying properly and you are set.

Where to Use

The VT-616 Trigger Lock Spring is meant to be used to replace an old lock spring on the valve trigger assembly of the Versatool Valve B&G Sub Slab Injector.

When to Use

Replace the Trigger Lock Spring when it has been damaged or you are experiencing a dip in spray quality. How often this part is changed depends on how often you use the sprayer. You may need to just change it once a year or even quarterly for heavy use sprayers.

Safety Information

Be sure to wear gloves when handling the B&G sprayer parts, as there may be residue from chemicals or buildup on the filter. Be sure to properly drain and clean the sprayer parts before performing maintenance. Keep small items like this check valve out of reach of pets and children.

Special Considerations

Along with the Trigger lock spring, it would be wise to replace all the other small parts on the B&G Sub Slack Injector rather than just the one. Set a maintenance schedule for your Versatool Valve and change out all the parts in one shot to save time so your Versatool is back in good condition.
