The Balcony Gard 110V is a simple, yet effective way to repel common outdoor pests. This product can be plugged in or use batteries and emits a high and low pitched frequency to harmlessly repel birds and rodents in and around your house. This product is especially useful outdoors as it is designed to withstand rain and other harsh weather.

Tools Needed:

In order to use the Balcony Gard, you will need a screwdriver and screws to mount the device to a vertical surface, and C batteries if you intend to use the device battery operated.

How to Use:

  • Step 1: Gently peel off the back cover on the device and ensure that the device is set to OFF. Adjust the frequency dial to the desired setting, and adjust the other settings depending on if you want it to be motion-activated, constant, and how sensitive you with the motion-sensing to be.
  • Step 2: Using the key slots on the back of the device, screw-in, and mount the device in the desired area. Ensure the device is at least 3 feet off the ground for maximum effectiveness.
  • Step 3: Observe and adjust settings to ensure optimal performance. The device will broadcast in an oval shape, so it can be helpful to use multiple devices to get an even broadcast.

Where to Use:

The Balcony Gard can be used outdoors in many locations, but we suggest using it on your balcony or porch. This allows you to power it using the AC adapter and uses the constant emission feature as well as not having to worry about changing our batteries.

When to Use:

The Balcony Gard is most effective when a bird problem first arises, as it can be difficult to turn away the birds once they have started nesting in an area. If the birds are already established, you will need to use the Balcony Gard alongside another bird repellent (such as reflective tape or a decoy) to completely remove them from the area.

Safety Information:

The Balcony Gard is safe to use, as long as proper electrical shock safety precautions are observed when setting up the device.

Special Considerations:

This product is effective and not disturbing to humans, but it does have a limited range. If you wish to affect a larger area for bird control, it may be necessary to use more than one device or use this device alongside other bird repellent treatments, such as reflective tape or decoys.

Bird droppings reduced
Has reduced Bird occupancy in my carport. I reposition it weekly so birds do not get used to its location. Results in fewer droppings.

Questions and Answers
  1. Q:How do I return your product? I wear hearing aids and I cannot hear any sound coming out of my Balcony Gard Ultrasonic Bird Repeller. I used AC and "C" Batteries that I tested before hand.

A:It's ultrasonic meaning you will not be able to hear it. There is still a risk of ear damage, but only if your ear is directly exposed to it for an extended period of time at distance less than 10 feet.
