The B&G Valve Body Kit is manufactured by B&G Equipment Company and is a kit designed to repair the valve body of B&G Sprayers with the Extenda-Ban Valve. The B&G Valve Body Kit Includes the brass body (VB-147), 3x VP-151 Teflon Valve Packing washers and 1x stainless steel Packing Nut. If your valve is leaking around the packing nut and the handle is wet, replacing the stainless steel packing nut and the valve washers is a must to stop the leaking.

Tools Needed

To use the B&G Valve Body Kit, you will need a B&G Sprayer with an Extenda-Ban Valve and two adjustable wrenches.

How to Use

Packing Valve

Step 1: Following the manufacturer instructions for details, detach the valve and extension from the hose. Carefully remove the mesh strainer and squeeze the trigger to drain all the liquid from the valve.
Step 2: Remove the trigger, then the snap ring, safety lock nut, the adjustment screw, the lock nut and then the packing nut. Push the cable out of the front of the extension. Replace the old Valve body with the new valve body.
Step 3: Unscrew the extension at the front of the valve and pull it away from the interior steel cable. Insert 2 or 3 of the packing washers (depending on the year the valve was built) onto the cable and then slide on the packing nut behind the washers and tighten.
Step 4: Reassemble the Extenda-Ban valve following the detailed instructions in the user manual , making sure to tighten all parts so they are secure and then test the valve out by spraying the unit and checking for leaks.
