The B&G PF-265 Pump Unit is manufactured by B&G Equipment Company and is the complete pump assembly for B&G Primeline Stainless Steel 2 gallon sprayers. The Pump Unit comes with all the necessary components that enable the pump to do its job in pressurizing the sprayer for a smooth application. The parts in the assembly experience wear and tear over time and should be replaced periodically, at least once a year when the sprayer is used often. Buying the entire assembly is the easier option than purchasing all the small parts individually when it comes time for maintenance and servicing.
Tools Needed
To use this part, you will need the appropriate 2 Gallon B&G Sprayer to replace the pump unit on and possibly a pair of pliers or a crescent wrench if the parts are tightly secured.
How to Use
- Step 1: Remove the Pump Assembly from the Sprayer tank. You can refer to the repair manual instructions for details on how to specifically do this but it is fairly simple to do.
- Step 2: After taking off the older damaged Pump Unit, put the new Pump Unit in its place.
- Step 3: Put your B&G Sprayer back together and test the sprayer pumping feature out to ensure that it is pressurizing properly.
Where to Use
The Pump Unit is meant to be used only for replacement on a B&G 2-Gallon Primeline Sprayer.
When to Use
Replace the Pump Unit when it has been damaged or you are experiencing reduced spray pressure quality. How often this Pump Unit is changed depends on how often you use the sprayer. If it is heavily used, the parts within the unit wears and tear quicker. Typically at a minimum, we suggest changing it out annually.
Safety Information
Be sure to wear gloves when handling the B&G sprayer parts, as there may be residue from chemicals or buildup on the sprayer parts. Be sure to properly drain and clean the sprayer parts before performing maintenance.
Special Considerations
Along with the Pump Unit, it would be wise to replace all the other small parts on the B&G Sprayer (such as parts on the valve and sprayer tips etc.) rather than just a single part at one time.
