Assail 30SC Insecticide, manufactured by United Phosphorous, is a unique translaminar and contact control suspended concentrate insecticide against pests in orchard, vegetable, and vine crops.

This systemic insecticide contains the active ingredient acetamiprid 30%, which also classifies as a neonicotinoid insecticide that controls pests through contact and ingestion. Once this product absorbs through treated foliage it will protect the entire leaf from chewing and sucking insects.

Assail 30SC Insecticide increases the quality and yield of agricultural crops to new heights without control becoming decreased by weather elements, especially since it becomes rainfast when dried.

Tools Needed

To apply Assail 30SC Insecticide, you will need to use an aerial application equipment, spray rig, or chemigation equipment.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Assail 30SC Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For general applications on listed tropical and subtropical medium to large fruit, smooth, and inedible peel use 0.15 fl. oz. of Assail 30SC Insecticide per 15 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the label for specific application rate.
  • Step 2: Prepare only enough spray mixture as can be applied on the day of mixing. Fill tank 1/4 - 1/2 full with the required amount of total spray volume of water. Shake the product container well before using. Begin agitation and add the proper amount of Assail 30SC Insecticide. Allow mixing in tank for 2 minutes after filling or until thoroughly mixed before applying.
  • Step 3: Spray the Assail 30SC Insecticide to the foliage as instructed on the label, but not to the point of runoff. If needed make second application 14 to 21 days later after the first treatment.

Where to Use

Assail 30SC Insecticide can be used for row crops, orchard and vine crops, asparagus, blueberries and other bush and cane berries, brassica leafy greens, brassica head and stem vegetables, kohlrabi, celtuce, florence fennel, citrus, clover, cotton, cucurbits, edible podded legume vegetables, succulent shelled peas and beans, fruiting vegetables, grapes and other climbing vine small fruits (except fuzzy kiwifruit), leafy greens, leaf petiole vegetables, onions and other bulb vegetables, pome fruit, stone fruit, strawberries and other low growing berries, sweet corn, tobacco, tree nuts, tropical and subtropical medium to large fruit, and tuberous and corm vegetables.

When to Use

Use Assail 30SC Insecticide when pests are active or at the first sign of their activity on days when rainfall is not expected to occur for the next 48 hours after application.
