Ascernity Fungicide
Ascernity Fungicide
Ascernity Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a very effective systemic fungicide that can help prevent and battle a number of common golf turf pathogens such as anthracnose and powdery Mildew.
Formulated with two active ingredients, benzovindiflupyr and difenoconazole, this product is an easy to mix solution that has both curative and preventative attributes that will help keep your golf turf looking healthy and vibrant.
Ascernity Fungicide can be worked into an integrated pest Management plan for overall health longevity. If used with a proper turf management program it can greatly reduce susceptibility to disease during the growing season.
Tools Needed
To use Ascernity Fungicide, you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Ascernity Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). The application rate will be fluid ounces per 1,000 sq. ft. To treat golf course turfgrass, use 1.0 fl. oz. of Ascernity Fungicide in 2 to 4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. or 44 fl. oz. of product in 30 to 175 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than 4.0 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per year (175 fl. oz. of product per acre per year).
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer's tank halfway with water and then add the correct amount of Ascernity Fungicide for the amount of gallons to be used. Add the rest of the water to your spray tank and shake to mix well.
- Step 3: Once mixed, apply the Ascernity Fungicide evenly and throughout the targeted area but not to the point of runoff. Reapply once every 14 to 28 days depending on the labeled disease.
Where to Use
Ascernity Fungicide can only be used on golf course turfgrasses.
When to Use
Ascernity Fungicide should be applied before disease is present or as soon as possible when disease symptoms are found on golf course turf.
Avoid applications when rainfall is expected to occur within 48 hours.
Safety Information
Ascernity is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep children and pets away from treated areas until the spray has completely dried.
Special Considerations
For control of foliar diseases, allow Ascernity Fungicide to completely dry prior to irrigating. For control of soil borne diseases, this product can be watered in after application.
