Aria Insecticide
11/27/25
Aria Insecticide, manufactured by FMC Professional Solutions, is specifically designed as a water dispersible granular formulation containing Flonicamid for control of phytophagous pests within nurseries, green-houses, interiorscapes, and landscapes.
Flonicamid is an organic pyridine insecticide that works through contact and ingestion to kill adult and immature aphids, thrips and whiteflies. Aria's formula helps to combats resistance to the chemical.
Tools Needed
To use Aria Insecticide, you need a large volume spray equipment like a professional pesticide spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Aria Insecticide you need to mix by first calculating the size of the treatment area. To do this, measure and multiply the area length times the width and then divide by 43,560 to get the acreage (length x width = square footage /43,560 = acreage). Aria is mixed at a rate of 0.7 to 4.3 oz (20 to 120 grams) per 100 gallons to treat an acre or 0.175 to 1.0 oz. (5 to 15 grams) per 25 gallons.
- Step 2: Fill a sprayer tank halfway with water then add the required amount of herbicide to the tank. Replace the cap and agitate. Add the remaining water required then repeat agitation until the herbicide solution is thoroughly mixed.
- Step 3: Apply Aria Insecticide to plants, making sure to get even coverage. You may need to occasionally agitate the sprayer during use to ensure even coverage. Re-apply every 7-28 days as needed until the infestation is gone.
Where to Use
Aria Insecticide is for use on ornamentals in nurseries, greenhouses, interiorscapes, and landscapes. Aria is also for use on herbaceous and woody ornamental plants, annuals, and perennials.
When to Use
Use Aria Insecticide as periodic maintenance of your greenhouse or indoor plants. Treatments for thrips should be timed for when the insects first appear on the plants and before flowering begins.
Safety Information
Aria Insecticide is safe for pets and kids when used according to the label. Before applying this product, please make sure to put on the proper PPE for safety (long sleeved clothing, gloves, face mask, goggles). Pets and children should not be present during treatment and should remain out of the treated areas until they have completely dried.
Special Considerations
Aris Insecticide is for Pest Control Operators and Commercial Use Only. For improved performance, you may add a surfactant in conjunction with Aria Insecticide.
