Argyle OD Insecticide, manufactured by United Phosphorous, is an effective emulsifiable concentrate insecticide that evokes a two-punch elimination method against chewing, piercing, and sucking insects.

Contains agricultural leading active ingredients bifenthrin 18.0% and acetamiprid 11.8%, which delivers the utmost control of pests without increasing insecticide resistance like other single-mode-of action products.

Argyle OD Insecticide suppresses and controls a wide array of pests such as cloverworms, fleahopper, and flea beetles with its long duration of control and phytotonic effect.

Tools Needed

To use Argyle OD Insecticide, you will need to use a chemigation system.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Argyle OD Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For general applications on cotton and soybeans, use 9.0 fl. oz. of Argyle OD Insecticide in 10 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the label for specific application rates and restrictions. Do not make more than 4 applications per calendar year for cotton. Do not make more than 2 applications per calendar year for soybeans.
  • Step 2: Fill the tank with 1/2 to 3/4 the desired amount of water. Start mechanical or hydraulic agitation. Slowly add the required amount of Argyle OD insecticide and then the remaining volume of water.
  • Step 3: Set sprinkler system to deliver a maximum of 0.2 inch of water per acre. Volumes of water higher than this may reduce efficacy. Start sprinkler and then uniformly inject the solution of Argyle OD Insecticide into the irrigation water line so as to deliver the desired rate per acre. The solution of this product should be injected with a positive displacement pump into the main line ahead of a right angle turn to insure adequate mixing.

Where to Use

Apply Argyle OD Insecticide to soybeans and cotton.

When to Use

Use Argyle OD Insecticide when pests appear and before the development of nymphs.

Do not make applications when rain is expected for the next 48 hours after application.
