Tools Needed
Tools such as a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or spray rig may be required.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Aquasweep to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Applications to noncrop, conservation reserve programs, and general farmstead will use 1.3 fl. oz. or 2 1/2 tablespoons of Aquasweep Aquatic Herbicide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For spot treatments on ornamental turf, golf courses, and sod farms use 1-2 fl. oz. of product per 3 gallons of water or 1-2 quarts of product per 100 gallons of water. Refer the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, pour the proper amount of product, then add in the remaining half of water. Shake until solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weeds with this product until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For aquatic applications, treat the masses of weeds on the surface of water or spray the water surface directly above submerged weeds.
Where to Use
Sites such as rangelands, pastures, fencerows, non-irrigation ditchbanks, roadsides, seasonal irrigation canals and ditches, non-crop areas, native grass areas, rights-of-ways, ornamental turf, golf courses, and sod farms may be treated.
Aquatic sites may also be treated: ponds, lakes, reservoirs, marshes, bayous, non-irrigation and seasonal irrigation canals and ditches which have little or no continous outflow and impounded rivers and streams that are quiescent or slow-moving.
When to Use
Apply when weeds are present from early spring to fall on days that have no rainfall for the next 24 hours after application.
