Vision Pond Dye, manufactured by Solutions Pest and Lawn, is an organic liquid product that helps to keep lakes, ponds, water fountains, and other bodies of water looking naturally beautiful. It also stunts the growth of algae and submerged plant life by blocking UV rays from the sun.

This blue pond dye is safe to use and will not ruin activities such as fishing, swimming, boating, or irrigation systems.

Simply pour Vision Pond Dye directly into the water at several different locations and let the pond dye do the rest. If a darker color is needed or desired, just add more dye. Vision Pond Dye is an economical and easy way to make a body of water look like an oasis.

Tools Needed

When applying Vision Pond Dye to your water body, you only need a pair of safety gloves.

How to Use

Vision pond pour

  • Step 1: Measure the size and volume of the body of water to determine how much Vision Pond Dye you will need to mix. To do this, you will need to measure the pond area's length x width. The volume is determined by calculating the surface area x average depth. To get the average depth of your pond, you will need to take 3 depth measurements: one at the shallow end, one at the middle, and one at the deep end. Add all the different depth measurements and divide by the number of measurements taken to get the depth. So, for example, if your pond's surface area is 400 ft by 150 ft and the average depth is 9.17 ft, multiplying all these together will give you a volume of 550,200 cubic feet.
  • Step 2: Based on your pond area measurement findings, measure the appropriate amount of Vision Pond Dye into a bucket. The label recommends applying 1 quart per 1 surface acre of water at a 5-foot average depth.
  • Step 3: Pour the pond dye over the edge directly into the body of water. The water's natural movement will disperse the dye.

Where to Use

Vision Pond Dye can be used in lakes, ponds, water fountains, and lagoons.

When to Use

For best results, use Vision Pond Dye before or at the beginning of spring months to prevent algae and some unwanted underwater plant life from growing.

Safety Information

Vision Pond Dye is entirely non-toxic and safe for humans and animals. When applied at the recommended rate, it will not stain birds or fish. Once the dye is completely dispersed, irrigating, fishing, water sports, and other activities can continue.

Special Considerations

Vision Pond Dye may stain clothes and skin. Wear suitable protective clothing when applying Vision Pond Dye.
