Alucion 35 WG Insecticide

Alucion 35 WG Insecticide, manufactured by BASF, is a professional pyrethroid insecticide combining dinotefuran and alpha-cypermethrin for fast knockdown and long-lasting control over pests in turf.

Dinotefuran is a neonicotinoid that provides systemic and translaminar activity, moving through plant tissues to target pests feeding from within. Alpha-cypermethrin, a pyrethroid, offers contact and feeding activity by binding tightly to the plant cuticle, effectively targeting pests feeding on the surface. This combination ensures rapid knockdown and extended residual control of a wide range of turfgrass pests such as armyworms, billbugs, and more.

Alucion 35 WG Insecticide is an excellent water-dispersable granule insecticide that provides both systemic and contact activity against surface-feeding turf insects in golf courses, lawns, and other grassy areas. Its ease of use, combined with its broad-spectrum efficacy, has streamlined pest management practices, allowing applicators to maintain healthy and aesthetically pleasing turf throughout the season.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Alucion 35 WG Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Apply 0.44 oz. of Alucion 35 WG Insecticide per 1 to 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For broader applications, use 19.2 oz. of product per 100 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than a total of 19.2 ounces of product per acre per year. 
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of water, and then add in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed. 
• Step 3: Ensure thorough coverage of the turfgrass area being treated. Irrigate turf if rainfall does not occur within 24 hours after application to ensure movement of active ingredients through the thatch. Do not make more than one application per year.

Where to Use

Alucion 35 WG Insecticide can be used on turfgrass in golf courses, recreational areas, residential lawns, commercial lawns, and industrial lawns.

Do not apply to ornamental or landscape plantings.

When to Use

Apply before or during pest infestations on days when rainfall is expected within 24 hours of application.

Do not apply to areas that are water-logged, saturated, or frozen.

Safety Information

Alucion 35 WG Insecticide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Do not graze or feed treated grass clippings to livestock or companion animals.

Keep people and pets out of the treated areas until the spray has dried. 

Special Considerations

If adults or large nymphs are observed and actively tunneling, tank mix with a curative insecticide labeled for mole cricket control.
