Alligare Outline Herbicide
Alligare Outline Herbicide is a highly effective selective herbicide that manages both broadleaf and grassy weeds within pastures and rangelands.
Alligare Outline Herbicide, manufactured by Alligare, is a powerful pre- and post-emergent herbicide that controls various hard-to-manage weeds and certain trees in pastures, rangelands, and other non-crops areas.
Targets weeds such as chickweed, bluegrass, and horseweed all the way to the root, ensuring thorough and long-lasting control within 21 to 28 days.
Alligare Outline Herbicide is a simple, yet strong herbicide that establishes industrial sites and non-crop areas are weed-free with low-use rates.
Tools Needed
Alligare Outline Herbicide will need to be applied with a hand-held spray guns, backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Alligare Outline Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For applications to bermudagrass and bahiagrass non-crop sites, use 1 oz. of Alligare Outline Herbicide plus 1 quart of a non-ionic surfactant per 100 gallons of water. Refer the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Alligare Outline Herbicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the spray tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Ensure thorough coverage of the weeds by spraying the top and bottom of their leaves. Do not spray to the point of runoff.
Where to Use
Alligare Outline Herbicide can be used in select pasture grasses and rangelands, non-crop areas and in winter and spring wheat.
Do not use this product on or around athletic fields, commercial turf sites, golf courses, residential turf sites or sod and turfgrass seed farms.
When to Use
Apply Alligare Outline Herbicide when weeds are actively growing and not disturbed by mowing for at least 14 days before and 14 days after application.
For best control of johnsongrass, apply during active growth when the grass is at least 18 to 24 inches tall, and up to the heading stage.
Avoid applications when rainfall or irrigation is expected to occur within 48 hours of application.
Safety Information
Alligare Outline Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets off treated areas until spray solution has dried
Special Considerations
A nonionic surfactant is required for all post-emergent applications.
In the state of Texas, applications of this product applied before September 30 will not delay green-up of bermudagrass the following spring; however, some temporary discoloration of desirable spring germinating wildflowers may occur.
