Serves commercial site owners complete pre and post-emergent weed control against foliage such as moss, clover, and crabgrass. Within 30 days, professionals can see bare-ground sites perfect for building new or expanding industrial properties.

Alligare Ballast Herbicide is a high-quality non-selective herbicide with 2 modes of action for better management of stubborn and resistant weed species.

Tools Needed

To use Alligare Ballast Herbicide, you will need a helicopter, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Alligare Ballast Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Apply 32-48 fl. oz. of Alligare Ballast Herbicide in 15 gallons of water per acre for general non-cropland applications. Do not apply more than 48 fl. oz. of this product per acre per application. Do not apply more than 68 fl. oz. of this product per acre per year. Do not make more than 2 applications per year.
  • Step 2: Fill clean spray tank 1/2 to 2/3 of desired level with clean water. Agitate solution while adding the measured amount of Alligare Ballast Herbicide. Ensure agitation creates a rippling or rolling action on the water surface. Mix only the amount of spray solution that can be applied the day of mixing. Apply this product within 48 hours of mixing.
  • Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of emerged weeds until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For pre-emergent control, spray the soil surface until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Then irrigate the treated area with 1/2 inch of water when the soil is cool and when 2-3 weeks have passed after application. Wait until 30 days have passed before reapplying this product.
