Advance 388B Ant Gel Bait, manufactured by BASF, is a boric acid based bait that is attractive to most common household ants.While it is a gel bait, it can also work as a liquid bait.
When applied, the bait is carried back to the colony to kill the queens and has been proven effective due in killing entire populations via a transfer effect.
Advance 388B Ant Gel Bait is a unique bait product that is formulated to act as a liquid to penetrate more easily into cracks, crevices, and other voids.

To apply Advance 388B Ant Gel Bait you do not need any additional product as it comes ready to use.
How to Use
- Step 1: Locate areas where ants travel. Clean up all secondary food like crumbs off counters, and wipe up any water sources to prevent ants from avoiding areas with bait.
- Step 2: Indoors, apply small dots of gel bait in cracks and crevices and other areas where you have noticed ant activity. Reapply bait as needed after you notice the bait has been eaten.
- Step 3: Outdoors, apply bait around possible points of entry or where you have seen ants gather.
- Step 3: Make applications until ant activity has stopped, which make take up to 5 days. Bait that has been applied will last for up to 2 weeks.
Where to Use
Advance 388B Ant Gel Bait can be applied indoors and outdoors in various areas along ant trails. Indoor applications can be made behind the refrigerator, stove, around water pipes, in cracks and crevices on window and door sills.
Outdoor applications can be made in cracks, crevices or void spaces around windows, door jams and sills, eaves, patios, garages, under stairwells, and crawl spaces. Other areas where ants travel, hide or nest may also be baited (i.e. fences, trees, tree holes and around concrete slabs and asphalt covered areas).
When to Use
Advance 388B Ant Gel Bait can be used anytime ants and ant trails are seen. It can also be used as a preventative treatment if applied around outdoor areas like windows, doorways and other areas to keep ants from coming indoors.
Safety Information
Advance 388B Ant Gel Bait can be used around pets and children when applied according to the product label. Place bait in areas inaccessible to pets and children. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying.
Special Considerations
Bait can dry out if not consumed quickly by ants. Renew bait as needed, keeping in mind that outdoor gel placements may dry more quickly than indoor placements and may have to be replaced more frequently.
