Acelepryn Xtra Insecticide
Acelepryn Xtra Insecticide is a cutting-edge turf and landscape insecticide that provides the widest application window for soil-borne insects and other crawling pests.
11/04/25
Acelepryn Xtra Insecticide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a cost-effective suspended concentrate insecticide that provides broad-spectrum, seasonal control of turf and ornamental pests.
This foliar and systemic insecticide contains Chlorantraniliprole and Thiamethoxam, two powerful active ingredients. Chlorantraniliprole provides long-lasting control of soil-dwelling pests like white grubs, while Thiamethoxam offers quick knockdown of surface pests such as caterpillars, billbugs, and chinch bugs.
Acelepryn Xtra Insecticide is a professional insecticide that provides 3 months control against a wide array of key pests with one simple application. With its long-lasting residual control, low environmental impact, and broad pest spectrum, it’s the go-to product for professionals who want performance without compromise.
Tools Needed
Make applications with a spray rig, boom sprayer, backpack sprayer, or handheld pump sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Acelpyrn Xtra Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For turfgrasses, apply 1.0 to 4.6 fl. oz. of Acelepyrn Xtra Insecticide per 15-50 gallons of water per 10,000 sq. ft. To treat ornamental plants in outdoor landscapes, use 4 to 16 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water, depending on the pest. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill your sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining amount of water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 2: Apply Acelepryn Xtra as a broadcast, foliar, soil, or mound treatment. Spray the top and bottom of the leaves until wet, but not the point of runoff. Irrigate within 24 hours of application with 1/4-1/2 inches of water. Do not apply more than once every 7 days.
Where to Use
For use on ornamental plants and turfgrasses on golf courses, residential lawns, commercial grounds (i.e., office and shopping complexes, airports), parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields.
Not for use on plants or turfgrasses being grown for sale or other commercial use, commercial seed production, or for research purposes. Not for use in greenhouses.
When to Use
Apply Acelepryn Xtra Insecticide when pest activity is present or before damages occur.
Do not apply to plants that are flowering. Only apply after all flower petals have fallen off.
