09/18/25
Zyban WSB, manufactured by Everris, is a reliable preventative and curative water-soluble powder fungicide that aids landscapers, greenhouse operators, nursery managers, and professional turf applicators against harmful turf and ornamental diseases.
This broad-spectrum contact and systemic fungicide contains two active ingredients: Mancozeb a multi-site protectant fungicide with contact activity. Thiophanate-methyl an systemic fungicide that moves within the plant for internal protection. This dual mode of action makes Zyban WSB effective on both surface and internal fungal infections, reducing the chance of resistance and offering preventative and curative control.
Zyban WSB is a convenient water-soluble packet fungicide that provides smart, simple, and reliable solution against diseases such as brown spot, rust, copper spot and more on turf and ornamentals. It gives you broad coverage at a price that’s accessible especially important for growers watching margins. The WSB format also cuts down on time, waste, and mixing errors.
Tools Needed
A backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or spray rig will be needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Zyban WSB to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For general turf applications, use 1 packet of Zyban WSB per 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. The maximum application rate is 24 to 36 ounces (4 to 6 bags) of product per 30 gallons of water per 6,000 sq. ft. For general disease control on ornamentals, use 24 oz. (4 bags) of product per 100 gallons of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water. Do not open the packets, but drop the correct amount into the water. Add in the remaining half of the water and allow the product to fully dissolve before spraying.
- Step 3: Spray until the plant is thoroughly covered (not dripping), focusing on the undersides of leaves and stems for best contact. Reapply at weekly intervals. To control certain diseases, the reapplication intervals will vary.
Where to Use
Zyban WSB is for golf course greens, tees, aprons, fairways, and municipal turf (parks, schools, and day care centers) consisting of Bentgrass, Fescues, Bermudagrasses, Ryegrasses, St. Augustinegrass or their mixtures.
