ZeroTol HC
ZeroTol HC is a gentle yet powerful fungicide, algaecide, and bactericide that protects ornamentals, house plants, lawns, vegetables, and more from damaging plant diseases.
11/04/25
ZeroTol HC, manufactured by BioSafe Systems, is a hydrogen and peroxyacetic acid-based, broad-spectrum bactericide, algaecide, and fungicide designed to knock out plant pathogens on contact. It’s safe, sustainable, and incredibly effective, especially when you’re battling fungal outbreaks or want a clean slate for your greenhouse, ornamentals, and turf.
It combines hydrogen peroxide 5.34% and peracetic acid 1.36%, creating a powerful oxidizing agent that eliminates pathogens on contact. This dual-action formula works by disrupting the cell walls of fungi, spores, and bacteria, resulting in rapid kill without resistance buildup.
ZeroTol HC is an excellent curative contact fungicide that leaves no residue on plants or soil, and it's safe to use right up until harvest. By reducing disease pressure on plants, this product allows desirable foliage to direct more energy toward healthy roots, stems, and growth instead of fighting off pathogens.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, fogger, mop, sponge, power sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much ZeroTol HC to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For disease control, use 0.85 fl. oz. of ZeroTol HC per gallon of water. For weekly preventative treatment, mix 0.64 fl. oz. of product per gallon of water. To treat turf and lawns, apply 1.3 fl. oz. of product per gallon of water. Three to ten gallons of diluted solution treats approximately 1,000 square feet of lawn area.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
- Step 3: To make surface treatments, you will need to first sweep and remove all debris. Then use a power sprayer to wash all surfaces to remove loose dirt. After that, you spray or mop this product onto the surfaces until wet. Allow to remain wet with solution for 1 minute and then let it air dry. Scrub off heavy growths of algae and fungi following application. For foliar applications on diseased plants, thorough coverage and wetting of the foliage, including the undersides of the leaves is necessary. Reapply as often as needed for control.
Where to Use
ZeroTol HC can be used for greenhouse, ornamentals, hydrophonics, aquaponics, turf, and landscape.
When to Use
Apply when the disease is present. Optimum treatment time is early morning or late afternoon.
Avoid applications when rainfall is expected within the next 24 hours of application.
Safety Information
ZeroTol HC is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.
Special Considerations
Care should be taken when using ZeroTol HC for curative control of obligate organisms living on the plant tissue (such as Downy Mildew and Powdery Mildew). These treatments may result in lesions on plant tissue. ZeroTol HC will oxidize parasitic organisms living in plant tissue that are not always visible to the naked eye. Resulting oxidative effects may include spotting, or drying of the plant tissue where organisms inhabited tissue.
