Year-Round Horticultural Spray Oil
Year-Round Horticultural Spray Oil
Year-Round Horticultural Spray Oil, manufactured by Summit Chemical, is a liquid product that can be used year round even during periods of dormancy, delayed dormancy, postharvest, and periods of growth for flowers or ornamentals.
As an organic based formulation, this product will provide consistent and stable plant growth by naturally controlling pest and diseases populations. The active ingredient Mineral Oil 98.8%, quickly smoothers targeted pests without the use of toxic and odorous chemicals.
Year-Round Horticultural Spray Oil supplies a powerful means of control with 3 consecutive applications per year helping to minimize cost and labor.
Tools Needed
Year-Round Horticultural Spray Oil can be applied with a backpack sprayer or handheld pump sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Year-Round Horticultural Spray Oil to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To find this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet and multiply (length X width = square footage). Fruit trees will use 1.25 to 3.75 oz. of Year-Round Horticultural Spray Oil per gallon of water depending on the foliage species. Applications for citrus trees has a mix rate of 1.25 to 2.0 oz. of product per gallon of water. Shade trees, shrubs, ornamentals, flower, foliage plants, and conifers will be applied from 1.25 to 5.0 oz. of product per gallon of water. Refer to the label for specific application rates. For vegetables, apply 1.25 to 2.5 oz. of product per gallon of water. Applications for funguses will use the rate of 1.25 to 2.0 oz. of product per gallon of water.
- Step 2: Shake the container of Year-Round Horticultural Spray Oil vigorously before pouring out desired amount. Fill the selected sprayer tank halfway with required amount of water, then add the measured amount of Year-Round Horticultural Spray Oil, and pour in remaining half of water. Close the lid to spray tank and shake until solution appears milky. If it does not appear as this then the solution cannot be used.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of foliage leaves and directly apply to target pests, but not to the point of run-off. Retreat as instructed on the product label when at least 2 to 3 weeks have passed after first application.

Q:Will this product control gypsy moth eggs? I live in Michigan and we had a large amount of months in our subdivision.10/20/21A:Year-Round Horticultural Spray Oil is not labeled to control gypsy moths. To eliminate gypsy moths we recommend applying Reclaim IT Insecticide which has a long residual of 90 days. This product does not eliminate eggs, but gypsy moth caterpillars emerging from their eggs will be repelled and eliminated from labeled treated areas. https://www.solutionsstores.com/reclaim-it-insecticide
