Wilt Stop Plant Protector Concentrate

Wilt Stop Plant Protector Concentrator, manufactured by Bonide, is an excellent antitranspirant plant protector that safeguards plants from environmental stress, harsh weather, drought, and transplant shock. 

This product creates a soft, clear, flexible film barrier made from pine tree resin, suitable for a wide variety of plants, and allows treated foliage to grow naturally without suffocating them. This protective coating remains effective all season long even in adverse weather conditions. 

Wilt Stop Plant Protector Concentrate is a long-lasting plant protection solution that prevents drying out, drought, wind burn, sunscald, winter kill, salt damage, and other stress for trees, shrubs, and more. 

Tools Needed

It may be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, trigger spray bottle, or backpack sprayer. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Ensure the plant surfaces are dry before application. Shake the container well before application. To make one quart of the finished product to be applied with a trigger sprayer, begin with an empty 1 quart bottle, add 27 fluid ounces of water, then add 5 fluid ounces of Wilt Stop, for a total of 32 fluid ounces (1 quart) of finished spray. To make one gallon of finished product to be applied with a pressure sprayer, begin with an empty 1 gallon sprayer tank, add 107 fluid ounces of water, then add 21 fluid ounces of Wilt Stop, (filling to the 1 gallon mark on the sprayer.)
• Step 2: After filling your sprayer with the proper amount of product and water you will need to secure the lid tightly. Shake the container well to ensure the solution is evenly mixed. 
• Step 3: Spray tops and bottoms of leaves, needles and stems to the point of runoff.

Where to Use

Wilt Stop Plant Protector Concentrate can be used on deciduous trees, evergreens, shrubs, turf, roses, flowering plants, vegetables, fruits, transplants, cut plants, indoor plants, Christmas trees, and other outdoor plants.  

Do not use on African violets or exotic, slow-growing dwarf plants. This product may also not be used on any variety of arborvitae, cedar, cypress, chamaecyparis, juniper, sequoia, dwarf conifer or similar plant species without testing first.

When to Use

Spray this product once each season on days when there is continual sunlight to allow the film to be properly set. 

For winter protection, spray in the late fall when the temperature is above freezing so that the spray will not freeze on foliage.

Do not use for winter protection where temperatures drop below–30 degrees. 

Safety Information

Wilt Stop Plant Protector Concentrate is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Keep out of reach of children and pets. 

Special Considerations

This product may turn blue spruce and similar species of evergreen a green color. If this occurs, natural coloring will return with the next season's growth.

While Wilt Stop is rain-proof, it must be applied at least 1 hour before rainfall occurs.
