Weedtrine D Aquatic Herbicide
Weedtrine D Aquatic Herbicide
Weedtrine D Aquatic Herbicide, manufactured by Cygnet Enterprises, is a broad-spectrum herbicide that delivers effective, rapid control of a wide range of aquatic weeds.
Once applied, this emulsifiable concentrate will control a variety of submerged weeds, subsurface weeds, and weeds growing on the bottom of bodies of water.
Weedtrine D Aquatic Herbicide provides flexibility by being able to be broadcasted in large areas at one time or as a spot treatment to kill weeds in smaller areas without damaging surrounding plants. Either way, it's an affordable option for aquatic weed control
Tools Needed
To use Weedtrine D Aquatic Herbicide, you will need either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer or skid sprayer. We suggest using and adjustable tip nozzle to make effective applications.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Weedtrine D Aquatic Herbicide you will need by measuring the size of the treatment area. For aquatic applications, you will need to calculate the surface area by measuring length x width and the volume of your pond or water body by measuring length x width x depth. Weedtrine can be applied at a rate between 2 oz. and 6.5 oz per gallon of water depending on the weed you are treating. Depending on what type of weed you are treating, the gallons per surface acre differs. For instance, its recommended to use 5 to 10 gallons per surface acre for submersed weeds, 2.5 to 3.75 gallons per surface acre for floating weeds and 5 gallons for emergent weeds.
- Step 2: For pump sprayer or backpack sprayer applications, add 1/3 to 1/4 of the water to the spray tank first, then add the correct amount of Weedtrine D based on your calculations. Agitate the sprayer well to ensure the solution is well mixed.
- Step 3: Pump the sprayer and begin to spray uniformly over the water surface in coarse droplets. The product begins to work immediately on contact. Wilting and loss of foliage occur quite rapidly. Spray the solution until targeted areas are wet, do not over apply. Within 2 weeks make another application if needed.
Where to Use
Weedtrine D Aquatic Herbicide can be used on land or in various aquatic areas. On land it can be applied along roadsides, fence lines, parks, golf courses, farmyards, storage areas, and dry non-flooding areas. Approved aquatic areas are ponds, drainage ditches, canals, streams, rivers, and other still or slow-moving bodies of water.
When to Use
Weedtrine D Aquatic Herbicide can be used by farmers, homeowners, city workers, and those who need to control weeds found on land or in water. It is ideal to use before weeds reach 6 inches in height and before the growth becomes too dense or weeds flower.

Q:Does it harm fish?3/18/22A:Not if used as directed. You can only do a portion of the pond at a time. If you have a lot of aquatic vegetation and treat the entire pond at once, all of the decaying vegetation takes the oxygen out of the water. If you do a portion of the pond at a time, it is not enough to dramatically or fatally affect the fish. Hope this helps.

Q:It has been a week since treating pond with weedtreen! Can I swim in water now ?8/9/21A:Yes, you should be perfectly fine. As long as there's no flesh eating bacteria living in your pond water. If there is, that's definitely not from the Weedtreen anyhow.
