Vessel 3-Way Herbicide, manufactured by Prokoz INC, is an excellent commercial post-emergent herbicide that provides rapid control over a broad-spectrum of broadleaf weeds such as spurge, cocklebur, and bindweed.

Formulated with two phenoxy herbicides and dicamba, which selectively controls weeds from the top all the way to their roots for complete weed elimination.

Vessel 3-Way Herbicide is a low-odor and cost-effective herbicide that works fast against hard-to-control broadleaf weeds without consistent reapplications.

Tools Needed

To apply Vessel 3-Way Herbicide, you will need to use a backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or spray rig.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Vessel 3-Way Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). To treat ornamental lawns and turfgrasses containing Kentucky bluegrass, fescue, perennial ryegrass, bermudagrass, and zoysiagrass, use 1.1 to 1.5 fl. oz. of Vessel 3-Way Herbicide in 0.5- 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. or 3.0 to 4.0 pints of product in 5-200 gallons of water per acre. To treat ornamental lawns and turfgrasses containing closely managed bentgrass, use 1.0 fl. oz. of product in 5 gallons of water per 1,500 sq. ft. or 1.8 pints of product in 145 gallons of water per acre. For ornamental lawns and turfgrasses that are St. Augustinegrass, apply 1.3 fl. oz. of product in 5 gallons of water per 1,500 sq. ft. or 2.3 pints of product in 40-150 gallons of water per acre. For sod farms with cool-seasoned turf, use 3.0 to 4.0 pints of product in 5 to 175 gallons of water per acre. For sod farms with warm-seasoned turf, apply 2.0 to 2.5 pints of product in 5 to 175 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Vessel 3-Way Herbicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the spray tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
  • Step 3: Adjust the sprayer nozzle to a coarse, pattern then spray the top and bottom of weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Avoid drift of spray mist to vegetables, flowers, ornamentals, shrubs, trees and other desirable plants. Do not irrigate or water the turfgrass within 24 hours after application.

Where to Use

Vessel 3-Way Herbicide can be applied to ornamental lawns and turf established in institutional, ornamental, and residential/domestic sites. Institutional sites are defined as turf areas around properties or facilities providing a service to public or private organizations including, but not limited to hospitals, nursing homes, schools, museums, libraries, sport facilities, golf courses, and office buildings. Ornamental sites include turfgrass established around residences, parks, streets, retail outlets, cemeteries, industrial and institutional buildings. Finally, residential/domestic sites are defined as areas associated with the household or home life including, but not limited to apartment complexes, condominiums, and patient care areas of nursing homes, mental institutions, hospitals, or convalescent homes.

When to Use

Use Vessel 3-Way Herbicide when weeds have emerged and on days when rainfall is not expected to occur within 24 hours after application.

Delay mowing 1 to 2 days before and after the application of this product.

Do not apply when temperatures are above 85 degrees Fahrenheit. This product should also not be used on St. Augustinegrass during spring green-up which is the transition period between dormancy and active growth.
