Ultrashield EX Insecticide & Repellent, manufactured by W.F. Young, is a sweat and water resistant fly spray insecticide that provides long-term control of pests such as flies on horses and dogs for up to 17 days. On dogs, this ready to use product kills fleas, ticks, and lice immediately upon application and offers 28 days of protection from reinfestation.

This advanced fly spray formula contains multiple sunscreens and coat conditioners to keep horses and dogs looking great and protect them from challenging weather elements.

Ultrashield EX Insecticide & Repellent delivers immediate fly and pest control on horses and animals suffering from mild to severe infestations. Once applied, this pleasant smelling insecticide emits a citronella scent that offers comfort to animal owners, but irritates pests.

How to Use

• Step 1: Remove or cover exposed food and drinking water before applying Ultrashield EX Insecticide & Repellent. Shake the product container well before using. This product may be applied directly with spray applicator or as a wipe-on.
• Step 2: When applying as a wipe or on the horse's face, always use a soft cloth. First, brush animal to remove excess dirt and dust. Spray or wipe horse's entire body while brushing against the lay of the coat to ensure adequate coverage. Avoid getting spray into horse's eyes, nose, or mouth. Do not wet skin or apply to the point of dripping or exceed 2 oz. of Ultrashield EX per application. Reapply every 7 to 10 days under normal conditions for initial applications. As protection builds, reapply every 12 to 17 days as needed. Also, reapply each time animal is washed or exposed to heavy rain for best results. After application, brush thoroughly to bring out bright sheen on the coat.
• Step 3: To treat dogs and puppies over 12 weeks of age, cover the animal's eyes with your hand. With a firm stroke spray the Ultrashield EX Insecticide & Repellent until a proper spray mist covers the dogs head, ears, and chest until damp. With a soft cloth, rub the product into the animals face around mouth, nose, and eyes. Then spray the neck, middle, and hind quarters, finishing legs for last. For best penetration of spray to the skin, direct the Ultrashield EX Insecticide & Repellent spray against natural lay of the hair. On long haired dogs, rub against the lay of the hair, spraying the ruffled hair directly behind the hand. Make sure spray thoroughly wets when present. During the flea season, retreat every 3 to 4 weeks if necessary.
• Step 4: For use as a premise spray, apply 32 oz. of Ultrashield EX Insecticide & Repellent per 250 sq. ft. Directly spray any pests you see and around door facings and screens to render area unattractive to insects. This will help to repel insects and prevent entrance into the building.

Where to Use

Ultrashield EX Insecticide & Repellent may only be used on animals such as horses, ponies, and foals (over 12 weeks of age). It may also be used on dogs and puppies over 12 weeks of age.

This product can be used on areas where insects congregate like around baseboards, windows, door frames, wall cracks and localized areas of floors around dogs sleeping quarters.

When to Use

Spray Ultrashield EX Insecticide & Repellent when pest infestations are low or at the beginning of pest seasons. Treat dogs and horses only when they are completely dry or have labeled pests or been exposed to heavy rains.

Safety Information

Ultrashield EX Insecticide & Repellent is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.

This product is not meant to be used on puppies and foals less than 12 weeks of age.

Except when applying directly to labeled animals, do not allow adults, children, or pets to enter the treated area until sprays have dried.
