Turfcide 400 Fungicide
Turfcide 400 Fungicide is a reliable multi-site contact fungicide that prevents and cures all three major pathogens in pink and gray snow molds in non-residential turf.
04/10/26
Turfcide 400 Fungicide, manufactured by Amvac, is an excellent contact fungicide recognized for its efficacy in controlling snow mold pathogens, including pink and gray snow molds in non-residential turf and sod farms.
With Turfcide 400, you’re not reacting to problems - you’re getting ahead of them. This emulsifiable concentrate fungicide functions mainly as a preventative, but provides minor curative control against certain diseases such as brown patch, leaf spot, and more.
Turfcide 400 Fungicide remains highly effective against soilborne pathogens, particularly those that are resistant to newer chemical classes. It works by inhibiting energy production in fungal cells, halting their development and reproduction.
Tools Needed
Apply by ground boom application only.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Turfcide 400 Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). Depending on the disease, apply 5 to 6 or 16 to 24 fl. oz. of Turfcide 400 Fungicide per 1 to 10 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of non-residential turf. Single applications must not exceed 33 pounds per acre and total seasonal applications must not exceed 66 pounds per acre.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Ensure even coverage of the turf, including the top and bottom of leaves. Spray to the point of wet, but not runoff. Following application, water with 1/4 inches water over treated areas in order to move the material down to the soil level. Repeat every 7 to 10 days during warm, damp weather.
Where to Use
Turfcide 400 Fungicide is for non-residential turf (golf course tees, greens and fairways, sod farms, industrial parks, and professional and college athletic fields).
It may only be used on professional and college athletic fields for the following diseases: gray snow mold and pink snow mold.
When to Use
For best results, make a preventive application before diseases appear, however, if you do not apply as a preventive treatment, then apply this product at the first sign of disease.
Do not apply at daytime temperatures of 85 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.
