Turf Mark by BASF is a natural-looking, temporary colorant that shows exactly where turf and lawn care product applications have been made. The highly visible color helps prevent wasteful skips and overlaps, and helps point and minimize drift. Simply add Turf Mark to spray tanks filled with any premixed, water-based insecticide, herbicide, fungicide, or fertilizer. The blue color will indicate which areas have been treated or missed.
Using Turf Mark will help protect plants from being accidentally sprayed with herbicides and will save money by helping to conserve product. It is safe for residential or commercial use and is a great product when treating large places with easy to miss areas.
Tools Needed
To use Turf Mark you will need a hand pump sprayer or backpack sprayer with finished pesticide product to add the product to.
How to Use
- Step 1: Mix the appropriate amount of Turf Mark in a sprayer tank that is already filled with premixed, water-based insecticide, herbicide, or fertilizer. The rate to mix it in is 2 to 3 oz. per 3 gallons of product.
- Step 2: Shake or agitate the sprayer tank to mix well.
- Step 3: Spray areas with treatment products. Use a fan spray setting to get nice coverage.
Where to Use
Turf Mark can be used anywhere outdoors. It is a great product to use on large turf areas to ensure fertilizers and insecticides are applied evenly, and to ensure plants are not accidentally sprayed with herbicides with over-spray or drift. It is also great for home and business owners to help save products from being wasted by over-applying.
When to Use
Turf Mark can be used outdoors any time a turf or lawn is being treated with a water-based insecticide, herbicide, fungicide, or fertilizer.
Safety Information
Turf Mark is safe to use around children and pets when used according to the product label. Always follow the label of the product Vision Blue Marking Dye is mixed with. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying Turf Mark with any compatible product.
Special Considerations
Turf Mark alone will not eliminate or control for any weed, insect, or pest. Turf Mark may stain certain surface areas. Always spray a small inconspicuous spot before fully treating around driveways, sidewalks or building structures.

BASF Turf Mark, highly recommended.
BASF Turf Mark works great! Following the label directions, one ounce of Turf Mark per gallon of herbicide, Turf Mark marks the lawn with a blue tint that is easily visible. Turf Mark does not persist beyond a few days, and has not permanently stained any rocks, stone, wood, etc..., in the lawn. Turf Mark has not stained my plastic tank sprayer, and, I washed Turf Mark off my hands (after some persistent scrubbing with soap and a scrub brush). The easy to measure and pour bottle design really helped with dispensing the product at the right amount without a mess. I was able to keep track of how many gallons of herbicide I put down by checking the amount remaining in the bottle against the easy to read index on the side of the bottle.
BASF Turf Mark is my first purchase from the Solutions Stores and I am very satisfied with the product and the results. I highly recommend BASF Turf Mark.

After my lawn got ate up with crabgrass I had to put down a lot of herbicide on my acre lot. The Turf Mark made identifying the spots I hit very easy. Truth be told, I should have sprayed the entire lawn instead of spot spraying because the dye gave my lawn a nice blue hue for about 24 hours.

This product does NOT disappoint! The 32 oz container that was shipped to me had an easy to use pre-measured reservoir on top of the bottle which made dispensing 1 oz increments very easy. I definitely recommend this if you need to see where you have sprayed a herbicide!

Q:How much TurfMark in a hose end sprayer? (24 oz of herbicide, set to 4tbsp 6,000 foot coverage) Used 2 oz, could see it coming out blue from sprayer, did not mark lawn at all4/7/22A:I don't think it works with a water hose hooked on to a sprayer arrangement. However it works great when I used it with a hand held sprayer (2 gallons water with premixed herbicide and turf mark). A 1.5-2 times the turf Mark recommended ounces per gallon did not hurt my turf.
