Truban 30 WP Fungicide
11/04/25
Truban 30 WP Fungicide, manufactured by ICL Specialty Fertilizer, is an advanced wettable powder fungicide that eliminates various harmful pathogens from commercial greenhouses, nurseries, and ornamental turf.
Formulated with the active ingredient etridiazole 30%, this product will deliver complete preventative and curative control against damping-off, root and stem diseases caused by pythium and phytophthora.
Truban 30 WP Fungicide provides an effective foundation to any disease control program or may be used as an optimum soil rotational fungicide for long-term fungal control.
Tools Needed
Apply Truban 30 WP Fungicide only through pressurized drench (flood), sprinkler, or drip (trickle) irrigation systems. Applications to turf area may be made with a mobile spray boom or other suitable equipment like a spray rig.
Do not apply this product through any other type of irrigation systems.
How to Use
- Step 1: Irrigate the crop prior to applying Truban 30 WP Fungicide in order to ensure even moisture content over the entire crop. Determine how much Truban 30 WP Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To treat bedding plants, mix 4-6 oz. of Truban 30 WP Fungicide in 100 gallons of water per 800 sq. ft. of bed area. For bench plantings of tropical foliage plants, use 8-12 oz. of product with 100 gallons of water per 400 sq. ft. of bench area. For bedgrown plants and container plants, apply 3 to 10 oz. of product in 100 gallons of water per 400 sq. ft. For commercial turf, use 4 1/2 oz. of product with 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of turf. The maximum application rate for golf course tees and greens may not exceed 4.5 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per application and may not exceed 11 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per year.
- Step 2: In a separate tank mixing container, fill the sprayer with half the amount of water. Add the proper amount of Truban 30 WP Fungicide with the remaining half of water. Close the tank lid and agitate until the solution is completely mixed.
- Step 3: Apply the Truban 30 WP Fungicide solution uniformly to foliage area until the top and bottom of leaves are wet, but not to the point of runoff. Irrigate immediately with additional water equal to at least half the volume of fungicidal drench for improved soil penetration of the fungicide. Re-treat at 8 to 12 week intervals to maintain disease control in ornamentals and every 10 days for turf.
Where to Use
Truban 30 WP Fungicide can be applied to commercial (for use on golf course greens and tees only) ornamental turf and in commercial greenhouses only for ornamentals and nursery stock.
Use in residential greenhouses or other indoor plant sites is prohibited.
Application to fairways is prohibited.
When to Use
Apply Truban 30 WP Fungicide at time of seeding and transplanting in greenhouse foliage. It may also be used on established turf or newly seeded turf.
During periods of high temperatures (90 degrees -95 degrees Fahrenheit) apply this product in early morning or late afternoon for turf applications.
Safety Information
Truban 30 WP Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not graze treated areas or feed clippings to livestock.
Do not allow people or pets enter treated areas until the spray has dried.
Special Considerations
Truban 30 WP Fungicide does not afford broad spectrum fungus disease control for brown patch (Rhizoctonia solani ), dollar spot (Sclerotinia homoeocarpa or rutstroemia, lanzia, or moellerodiscus), copper spot (gloeocercospora sorghi ), and similar turf diseases. A fungicide program to control these diseases should be followed if they co-exist with Pythium blight.
