Truban 25 EC Fungicide

Truban 25 EC Fungicide, manufactured by ICL Speciality Fertilizer, is a powerful emulsifiable concentrate fungicide that effectively controls and prevents a wide array of damping-off, root and stem diseases caused by pythium and phytophthora in 4 to 8 weeks.

With both preventative and curative action, this product delivers excellent control of diseases in seedling and transplanting stages of ornamentals and nursery crops.

Truban 25 EC Fungicide contains a potent active ingredient etridiazole 25%, which works by inhibiting lipid peroxidation for complete cell death of harmful pathogens.

Tools Needed

Apply Truban 25 EC Fungicide only through pressurized drench (flood), sprinkler, or drip (trickle) irrigation systems. Do not apply this product through any other type of irrigation systems.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Truban 25 EC Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To treat bedding plants (soil 2" to 3" deep), apply 3-4 oz. of Truban 25 EC Fungicide with a 100 gallons of water per 800 sq. ft. of bed area (1 gal of water per 8 sq. ft.). For bed and bench plantings of tropical foliage plants, and container and bedgrown plants, mix 4-8 oz. of product in 100 gallons of water per 400 sq. ft. To treat individual container and bedgrown plants, apply 1/2 pint of product in 1 gallon of water per 6" pot.
• Step 2: In a separate tank mixing container, fill the sprayer with half the amount of water then pour in the needed amount of Truban 25 EC Fungicide. Pour in the remaining half of water into the tank and agitate until completely mixed.
• Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of foliage leaves with Truban 25 EC Fungicide mixture until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Irrigate immediately with additional water equal to at least half the volume of the fungicidal drench for improved soil penetration of the fungicide. Re-treat at 8 to 12 week intervals to maintain disease control.

Where to Use

Apply Truban 25 EC Fungicide in commercial greenhouses only for bedding plants, foliage plants, bed and bench plantings of tropical foliage plants, and container and bedgrown plants.

When to Use

Use Truban 25 EC Fungicide at the time of seeding and transplanting of ornamentals and nursery crops and when organic growth media is 6" deep or more.

Safety Information

Truban 25 EC Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Do not graze treated areas or feed clippings to livestock.

Do not allow people or pets to enter treated areas until spray has dried.

Special Considerations

Crop injury, lack of effectiveness, or illegal pesticide residues from Truban 25 EC Fungicide in the crop can result from non-uniform distribution of treated water.
