How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much The Andersons Contec DG 18-9-18 Fertilizer to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For low rate, apply 2.78 lbs. of The Andersons Contec DG 18-9-18 Fertilizer per 1,000 sq. ft. For medium rate, use 5.56 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. For cool-seasoned turf, apply at the medium rate during the growing season. Use the low rate during mid-summer (non-greens usage) on cool-seasoned turf. On bentgrass and Poa annua, apply at the low rate if temperatures are 85 degrees Fahrenheit or above. For warm-seasoned turf, apply at the medium rate during the growing season. Use the low rate during summer stress on warm-seasoned turf.
• Step 2: Adjust the spreader to the proper setting, then load the proper amount of product. 
• Step 3: Walk at a steady pace and apply fertilizer evenly. For best results, make two passes at half-rate in opposite directions to ensure thorough coverage. Immediately after application, apply a minimum of 0.2 inches of water. 

Where to Use

The Andersons Contec DG 18-9-18 Fertilizer can be used on cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned turf in greens and tees and sports fields.

Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches.

When to Use

Apply when turf is well-established during the spring, summer, and fall or whenever the turf is in its active season.

Special Considerations

Application to wet, close-cut golf turf may result in foliar staining, which will discolor the turf to a brown/black appearance. This can occur even if immediate irrigation or rainfall occurs. It is recommended that this product be applied to dry turf only.
