The Anderson's 14-7-7 Fertilizer with MUTech
The Anderson's 14-7-7 Fertilizer with MUTech is a specialty professional fertilizer that delivers up to 16 weeks of extended nitrogen feeding, enhanced greening, and stress tolerance for fine turf, ornamentals, and landscape plants.
04/22/26
The Anderson's 14-7-7 Fertilizer with MUTech, manufactured by the Andersons, is a unique slow-release granular fertilizer designed for professionals and enthusiasts who want long-lasting feeding, steady growth, and deep green color for fine turf areas, field-grown ornamentals, and landscape plants.
Unlike your average quick-release fertilizer that gives plants a sugar rush and then fizzles out, this product is built on MUtech technology (methylene urea nitrogen). That means it provides steady, extended feeding for 3 to 4 months, ensuring turf and ornamentals stay fed without surges of growth or nutrient losses. On top of that, it’s fortified with iron and other micronutrients that give turf that sought-after deep green color while boosting resilience against stress factors like heat, drought, and disease.
The Anderson's 14-7-7 Fertilizer with MUTech is a time-saving granular fertilizer that works smarter, lasts longer, and makes turf and ornamentals look their absolute best. One application can last for several months, cutting down on labor and cost.
Tools Needed
A handheld spreader, push spreader, or broadcast spreader will be required.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much The Anderson's 14-7-7 Fertilizer with MUTech to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For turf, apply 7.0 lb. of The Anderson's 14-7-7 Fertilizer with MUTech per 1,000 sq. ft. To treat foliage plants, flowers, evergreens, shade trees, fruit trees, and nut trees, use 0.7 lb. of product per 100 sq. ft. For woody ornamentals and shrubs, apply 1 to 2 lbs. of product per 100 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Adjust the spreader to the proper setting then load the proper amount of product.
- Step 3: Broadcast evenly across the turf or soil surface. For ornamentals, avoid direct contact with plant foliage. For trees, work the product into the soil with light raking. For more mature trees, bore 6 to 8 inch deep holes in the ground with a crowbar or some pointed object at three-foot intervals around the tree in a circle just below the edge of the branches (at the dripline). Divide the product to be applied so that each hole gets roughly the same amount, then fill in the holes with soil. Water in after application with a minimum of 0.2 inches of irrigation.
- Step 4: Repeat every 12 to 16 weeks throughout the growing season. Use twice per year, in spring 2 to 4 weeks after Azaleas are in full bloom, and in fall just after deciduous trees lose their leaves.
Where to Use
The Anderson's 14-7-7 Fertilizer with MUTech can be used for fine turf areas, field grown ornamentals, landscape plants, woody ornamentals, shrubs, shade trees, fruit trees, nut trees, evergreens, foliage plants, flowers, turf, and potted woody ornamentals and foliage.
When to Use
Apply in early spring and fall for most plants. Use 2 to 4 weeks after azaleas bloom and again after deciduous trees drop their leaves for shrubs and trees.
Avoid applying before heavy rain or frost.
