Teton Aquatic Algaecide and Herbicide, manufactured by United Phosphorous, is a versatile weed and algae control solution in lakes, ponds and irrigation canals offering fast results of clearer waters in a few days of application.

This contact algaecide and herbicide uses the active ingredient Mono(N,N-dimethylalkylamine) salt of endothall 53.0%, which provides total post-emergent control in aquatic sites as large as 8-12 miles.

Teton Aquatic Algaecide and Herbicide is a dependable product that provides quick results in areas with dense algae and weed growth without imposing several water use restrictions.

Tools Needed

Teton Aquatic Algaecide and Herbicide can be applied with a backpack sprayer, spray rig, or injection equipment.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Measure the size and depth of body of water to determine how much Teton Aquatic Algaecide and Herbicide you will need. To determine acre-feet volume, measure the length, width, and depth of the waterbody, and then divide by 43,560 (length x width x depth / 43,560 = acre-feet). For general algae applications to quiescent or slow moving waters, use 0.6-3.6 pints of Teton Aquatic Algaecide and Herbicide per acre foot. To get rid of floating algae in quiescent or slow moving waters, use 0.5 gallons of product per surface acre. For submerged aquatic plant removal in quiescent or slow moving waters, apply 1.4-6.8 gallons of product per acre foot. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
  • Step 2: Spray Teton Aquatic Algaecide and Herbicide over the top of algae and water surface where other unwanted weeds are growing. In instances where you need to control aquatic foliage beneath water surface, move the selected injection equipment near these foliages. Do not treat more than 10% of the area at one time with doses in excess of 1 ppm in slow moving or quiescent waters

Where to Use

Use Teton Aquatic Algaecide and Herbicide in large water bodies such as lakes, ponds, irrigation canals, and other flowing water bodies.

Do not use this product in waters containing Koi or hybrid goldfish. It may also not be used in brackish or saltwater.
