Tools Needed

Sure Power Selective Herbicide can be applied using various methods, including aerial, chemigation system, pump sprayer, or spray rig.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Sure Power Selective Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acerage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For ornamental lawns, turf, and sod farms, you will mix 32 to 56 ounces of product per 10-240 gallons of water per acre. For spot treatment of Fescue species, Kentucky Bluegrass and Perennial Ryegrass, mix 0.73 to 1.28 fl. oz. of product per gallon of water and treat 1,000 sq. ft. of turfgrass. For non-turf areas, use 2 to 3.5 pints of product in 10 to 240 gallons of water per acre.
  • Step 2: In a large container, add half of the required amount of water and then add the appropriate amount of Sure Power Selective Herbicide to the large container. Fill the container the rest of the way with the remaining half of water. Mix well and then pour into the sprayer tank.
  • Step 3: Apply Sure Power Selective Herbicide over the treatment area. Refer to label for reapplication and harvesting intervals as this will vary. Follow-up applications may be required for dense infestations of perennial and biennial weeds

Where to Use

Sure Power Selective Herbicide is for fast, selective weed control in ornamental lawns and turf grasses, sod farms, and non-turf areas including roadsides, rights-of-way, industrial areas, railroads and fence rows.

When to Use

For best results, apply Sure Power Selective Herbicide to young weeds that are actively growing. Follow-up applications may be required for dense infestations of perennial and biennial weeds. For best results after mowing, turf should not be mowed for 1 day before or after application to maximize leaf surface and herbicide uptake and translocation.
