Suprado IGR
09/08/25
Suprado IGR, manufactured by CSI, is a slow-acting liquid formulated insect growth regulator (IGR) that prevents the immature stage of pests such as billbug larvae or white grub species from developing into one stage into another, resulting in death at molting stage.
Containing a unique and new mode of action compared to other pesticides on the market this product uses Novaluron 10.0% as its active ingredient. Novaluron is a chitin synthesis inhibiator, which interferes with the pests ability to produce the necessary substance for exoskeleton growth and causes cease of molting.
Suprado IGR provides effective control against pyrethroid resistant pest and other resistant pest populations, while also easily being incorporated into current insect control program.
How to Use
Apply Suprado IGR with a backpack sprayer or handheld pump sprayer.
Do not apply this product through any irrigation system
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Suprado IGR to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width in feet and following the formula (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acre). Apply Suprado IGR at the rate of 2.2 to 3 oz. of product per 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. on turfgrass applications. For turf caterpillars on turfgrass, use 0.7 to 1.5 oz. of product per 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Acreage applications to turfgrass will apply between 3 to 4 quarts of product per 87.12 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than 4 quarts of product per acre in a single application nor exceed a total of 9.2 quarts of product per acre per year.
- Step 2: In a selected sprayer, fill it with half of the required amount of water, add the measured amount of Suprado IGR, then pour the remaining half of water into the spray tank. Secure the spray tank lid then shake to ensure solution is evenly mixed.
- Step 3: Adjust the spray nozzle to a low-pressure setting. Spray the top and bottom of turfgrass leaves until wet, including canopy and thatch penetration. Immediately water the treated area with 0.25 to 0.5 inches of irrigation. You may retreat at 30 days intervals from first application. Do not mow when until after sufficient irrigation or rainfall has occurred.
Where to Use
Use Suprado IGR on turfgrass including residential lawns, business and office complexes, shopping complexes, multi-family residential complexes, golf courses, airports, cemeteries, parks, playgrounds, athletic fields and sod farms, on and around residential, commercial, and institutional properties.
When to Use
Apply Suprado IGR during the growing season or prior to growing season of pests, current season adult trapping, soap flushes, or approved sites of previous pest activity. To avoid turf damage, applications should be timed to adult peak migration periods, peak egg hatch periods, early-instar stage (inside the stem), or at peak 3rd instar emergence timing before visible damage typically develops.
Spray this product on warm, calm days when rainfall is not forecasted for 48 hours after application.
Do not apply when turfgrass areas are waterlogged or the soil is saturated with water.
Safety Information
Suprado IGR is safe to use around children and pets when used according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying this product.
Do not allow children or pets to enter treated areas until applications have been watered in and areas have dried.
Special Considerations
