Subdue GR Granular Fungicide
04/22/26
Subdue GR Granular Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a powerful granular systemic fungicide made to be spread around plants or mixed into the soil before they are planted to prevent fungi and other diseases.
Designed with the active ingredient Mefenoxam 1.0%, which features an odorless formulation that works to block fungi pathogens from cell division within the soil and top surface as well.
Subdue GR Granular Fungicide provides interior and exterior protection of plants for up to 3 months after treatment.
Tools Needed
Subdue GR Granular Fungicide is a granular fungicide, so it can applied using equipment made for spreading grains, fertilizers and other such products. For household use we suggest using a hand or push spreader to apply the product.
How to Use

- Step 1: Determine how much Subdue GR Granular Fungicide to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in length then multiply (length X width = square footage). For soil surface applications on established turf, apply as a preventative treatment at 12.5 to 25 oz. of Subdue GR Granular Fungicide per 1,000 sq. ft. For soil or growing media surface application on foliage plants, distribute 8 to 40 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. of bed or bench area. For soil or growing media surface application on bedding plants, apply 6 to 30 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. of bed area. See the label for full list of application rates for different plants.
- Step 2: Spread the proper amount of Subdue GR Granular Fungicide evenly over the desired area. If you are using a metered push spreader it may be necessary to do a few test runs to determine the proper settings for your application device. Or mix the required amount in growing media for incorporation. Water the soil thoroughly after application.
- Step 3: Once Subdue GR Granular Fungicide has been applied, irrigate with enough water to completely wet the root zone after application. Do not exceed specified rates or apply more frequently than directed, or plant injury may occur. Refer to the label for specific reapplication intervals for plant species.
