Stryker Pyrethrin Insecticide
Stryker Pyrethrin Insecticide
Stryker Pyrethrum Insecticide, manufactured by CSI, is a pyrethrum-based insecticide concentrate that provides a quick knockdown of many insects.
This emulsifiable concentrate can be mixed with residual insecticides or insect growth regulators for long term control and can be either applied indoors to control tough insects like fleas or bed bugs or applied outdoors to eliminate mosquitoes.
Stryker Pyrethrum Insecticide is a versatile insecticide in that it can be applied in various types of sprayers, chemigation systems, foggers and automatic mosquito misting systems. Stryker is a great product to have when combating flying, biting, and food pantry insects.
Tools Needed
To apply Stryker Insecticide Concentrate you will need either a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or professional spray rig. Stryker can also be used in automatic mosquito misting systems. For cracks and crevice treatments, we recommend the handheld pump sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1:Determine how much Stryker you need to apply by calculating the square footage the area you wish to treat. To do this, measure and multiply the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). The required amount of Stryker to add depends on the targeted pests and area you are treating. For perimeter treatments, 2.125 to 4.25 ounces of Stryker per gallon of water to treat 750 sq. ft. For turf and grass treatments, the rate is 0.25 to 0.5 fl. oz. in 2.5 to 5.0 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Indoor treatments should be mixed at a rate of 4.25 oz. per gallon per 750 sq. ft.
- Step 2: Fill a sprayer tank halfway with water and then add the correct amount of Stryker into the spray tank followed optionally with the correct amount of companion residual insecticide. Add the other half gallon of water and shake the spray tank to mix thoroughly.
- Step 3: Spray the Stryker to the selected areas you wish to treat to control pests. Depending on the residual insecticide mixed with the Stryker solution will determine how often it needs to be reapplied for control of targeted pests.
Where to Use
Stryker can be applied to indoor and outdoor areas of residential, commercial, and industrial properties. When used as a crack and crevice treatments, Stryker is ideal for use in homes, hospitals, schools, food handling facilities, and more. It can be applied to cracks and crevices on mattresses, box springs, baseboards, closets, moldings, furniture, and more.
Stryker is also ideal as an outdoor treatment spray or fogging application. It can be applied around the perimeter of building structures, in cracks and crevices of eaves, weep holes, in gardens, lawns, directly onto label listed plants, shrubs, trees, and other areas.
Do not apply Stryker directly to bodies of water such as lakes, rivers, or ponds. Do not apply Stryker to plants that are blooming to avoid killing bees.
When to Use
Stryker can be mixed with a compatible residual insecticide and used as a preventative treatment. When Stryker is used alone as effective knockdown treatment when controlling flying insects such as clothes moths or mosquitoes.
Stryker is ideal to use when controlling mosquitoes outdoors as a fogging solution or in a mosquito misting system.
Do not apply Stryker as a broadcast or spot treatment when used indoors.
Safety Information
Stryker is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label. Always allow treated areas to dry before re-entering. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying Stryker.

Keith's Pro Tips | "Mosquitoes hide in mulched flowerbeds, grass, the underside of leaves, under porches, and other similar areas to hide from the sunlight. For the best results, apply Stryker in these areas during the heat of the day on the underside of plants. Also, make sure to remove standing water from various objects around the home, to keep mosquitoes from breeding." |

Q:Have you had any success completely getting rid of clovermites with Stryker?....., not just knocking them down for a few days??1/30/24A:Stryker Pyrethrin Insecticide will simply knockdown clover mites at the time of application and will not leave behind a residual effect to control those not present during the first treatment. Per the label it is suggested to mix this product with a residual insecticide. For complete clover mite control, check out our DIY guide. https://www.solutionsstores.com/clovermite-control

Q:Should I use this with Pivot 10 and Permethrin SRF for indoor/outdoor treatment of fleas? Also, what is frequency of application?12/21/23A:Since Permethrin SFR 36.8% and Stryker Pyrethrin Insecticide are adulticides you would want to pick one of these to mix with Pivot 10 IGR to control fleas. Since it not clearly stated on the label how much igr to mix with it we recommend first treating with either of the adulticides you select then making a follow-up application with Pivot 10. Depending on where you want to treat its best to refer to page 5 on the Pivot 10 label, 41, 43 & 49 on Permethrin SFR label, and 16, 17, & 20 on Stryker Pyrethrin Insecticide to control fleas.
