10/05/25
Strike 3 Weed Killer Herbicide, manufactured by Winfield United, is a unique herbicide solution that combines the power of 2,4-D, Mecoprop, and Dicamba to control emerged annual and perennial broadleaf weeds.
This systemic product works synergistically to provide comprehensive control over invasive weeds such as clover, dandelion, henbit, chickweed, knotweed, spurge, plantain, and more. Penetrating the weeds system ensures thorough eradication from shoots to the roots, ensuring a healthier landscape and lawn.
Strike 3 Weed Killer Herbicide is a unique formulation that combines 3 systemic herbicides to ensure effective systemic action, leading to comprehensive weed eradication. Not to mention its systemic mode of action results in more safer application and yield of desirable foliage.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Strike 3 Weed Killer Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the turf type, apply 0.67 to 1.5 fl. oz. of Strike 3 Weed Killer Herbicide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of ornamental lawns and turf. For non-crop areas, mix 1.5 to 3.5 quarts of this product per 50 to 300 gallons of water per acre. For small (spot) applications with small tank sprayers, apply at the rate of 4 ounces of product per gallon of water in non-crop areas. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
- Step 3: For control of woody plants, apply to stems, leaves, suckers, bark, and foliage until completely wet to the ground line. For control of broadleaf weeds, treat the top and bottom of leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff.
Where to Use
Strike 3 Weed Killer Herbicide can be used for turfgrasses, including for use on sod farms, parks, cemeteries, athletic fields, and golf courses (fairways, aprons, tees, and roughs). It is also for highways, rights-of-way, and other similar non-crop areas.
Do not spray on carpetgrass, dichondra nor on lawns or turf where desirable clovers are present.
When to Use
Apply when weeds are present on days when the temperature is below 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
When using small, spot treatment applications in temperatures over 90 degrees Fahrenheit, turf injury may occur.
When treating carpetgrass, avoid applications when the temperature exceeds 80 degrees Fahrenheit. When air temperatures exceed 80 degrees, limit application to spot treatment only.
Safety Information
Strike 3 Weed Killer Herbicide is safe to use round children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas until 2 days have passed after application.
