Stingray Aquatic Herbicide
Stingray Aquatic Herbicide is a fast-acting, systemic aquatic herbicide that provides professional submerged and emerged weed control, improving water clarity, and maintaining healthy ponds, lakes, and other types of waterways.
01/09/26
Stingray Aquatic Herbicide, manufactured by Sepro, is a fast-acting contact aquatic herbicide designed to deliver rapid, visible control of many of the most troublesome floating, emerged, and submersed aquatic weeds in various aquatic sites.
Unlike systemic herbicides that move throughout the plant and take weeks to show results, this aquatic herbicide works on contact, disrupting plant tissue and causing rapid desiccation and collapse of treated vegetation. One of Stingray’s strengths is that it’s straightforward to apply, making it a favorite among professionals who value efficiency.
Stingray Aquatic Herbicide is an efficient contact aquatic herbicide that provides rapid control of many of the most common and aggressive floating, emerged, and submersed aquatic weeds. Whether used alone for quick suppression or combined with systemic products for a more comprehensive program, Stingray Aquatic Herbicide gives applicators flexibility, speed, and reliable performance all with minimal water use restrictions.
Tools Needed
A boat, boat-mounted application system, backpack sprayer, knapsack sprayer, or spray rig will be needed to make applications.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Stingray Aquatic Herbicide you will need by calculating the size of the treatment area. For aquatic applications, you must calculate the surface area acreage. Do this by measuring the length and width of the treatment area in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For subsurface applications, apply 0.286 gallons of Stingray Aquatic Herbicide per surface acre with a depth of 1 feet. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, pour in the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray evenly across the surface of the water where weeds are present for surface applications. For subsurface applications, insert the equipment near unwanted aquatic foliage. Treatment of dense weed areas may result in oxygen loss from decomposition of dead weeds. This loss of oxygen may cause fish suffocation. Therefore, treat up to a maximum of half of the water body area at one time. Wait a minimum of 14 days before retreatment or treatment of the remaining half of the water body.
Where to Use
For applications to aquatic sites, including ponds, lakes, reservoirs, marshes, wetlands, bayous, drainage ditches, canals, streams, rivers, and other slow-moving or quiescent bodies of water for control of aquatic weeds.
When to Use
Apply in spring or early summer when Eurasian watermilfoil or other submersed weeds are actively growing.
